Citizen Erased Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I feel the same way about them but he knows never to fall in love with them. Smart move on his part. I actually find it out of line that people are saying you shouldn't be friends with him. I have some friends that do some pretty hardcore drugs. Just because I associate with them doesn't mean that I'm like them. He obviously has some good qualities and it was probably pretty funny seeing him strike out.
Author Woggle Posted September 4, 2010 Author Posted September 4, 2010 I have a friend who makes money in not so legal ways but he is a good guy and has other good qualities. Family is family and that is what my friends are to me.

I will ask you this though, if your wife was friends with a woman that had no respect for men and went after married guys to cheat, how would you feel about that?

Probably not good because hanging out with those types helped ruin my first marriage.
Citizen Erased Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Probably not good because hanging out with those types helped ruin my first marriage. I hope you realise how contradictory this is, I know you can't help that you feel that way but I do hope you see it is at least unfair to have expectations of someone you don't also put on yourself.

True but I know the destruction manhating friends can do to a marriage. My friend doesn't cheat on women but he has had a few married lovers and actually encourages me to devote myself to my wife. Despite his cynical attitude towards women he likes her. I dropped the neighbor who has trying to break up my marriage and I would expect a woman to do the same thing.
that girl Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 True but I know the destruction manhating friends can do to a marriage. Woggle you are reaching troll levels of foolishness with these comments when you yourself distrust women as a rule. One thing you have to realize is that men talk an enormous amount of bull****. I would say more than women, but the bigger difference is what they bull**** about. Odds are a guy who brags about how easily he gets laid is lying. Most women are not looking to cheat and even the best looking guy is going to strike out regularly. Hell, Russell Brand is famous, a well known sex addict and pretty good looking if you don't mind eye liner and even he talks about getting shot down. Unless you friend is famous or as hot as Brad Pitt, you were gullible to ever believe that all these women were desperate to sleep with him. The fact that he was talking about married women only makes it more ridiculous. Guys who complain all the time about their wives are not necessarily unhappy. People sometimes need to let off steam about their relationships. Some guys use their wives as an excuse to get out of guy bonding events they don't want to go to. And sometimes the complaints about how Betty is making him go antiquing are just him bull****ting because it is what guys do. There is a difference between a guy who really is unhappy in his marriage and one who is just playing around or blowing off some steam. I don't think you are able to see the difference.
lab_brat Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 So, would it be okay if your wife was going out with her girlfriend and just watching and laughing as she tried to screw around and cheat with married men? Honestly. if a girl posted something like this you would be straight on your high horse about how all women can't be trusted etc etc etc. You know you would. Oh, and earlier when you said ' It wasn't me doing it - i was just watching'. I absolutely hate that phrase. The worst teenagers i work with aren't the ones who bully or are outright horrid, they're the smug little cowards who stand there and watch and laugh and do nothing about it. The ones that watch bad things happen and pretend they have no responsibility for it. As someone who doesn't believe in cheating, I would have expected more of you?
Author Woggle Posted September 5, 2010 Author Posted September 5, 2010 My friend is not the one who is cheating. He is single and unattached so he can sleep with whoever he wants. He is not betraying anybody.
Author Woggle Posted September 5, 2010 Author Posted September 5, 2010 Also as much as I love my wife I need male friendship and to hang out with the guys sometimes. I told you in that thread last week about what happens when I try to hang with my married friends are men who are involved. The players and single guys are the only ones I know who still have the freedom to hang out.
Pyro Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 My friend is not the one who is cheating. He is single and unattached so he can sleep with whoever he wants. He is not betraying anybody. No matter what you think or believe your friend is on the same level as those married women who are cheating. The only way he would be excused would be if he had no idea that the women were married. Quit being a hypocrite because if any woman or even your wife was prancing around town watching her single friend pick up married men then you'd be in an uproar.

I agree with one poster said: just because you associate yourself with someone doesn't mean you do the same things they do. As long as this "player" doesn't make a move on YOUR WIFE, then I don't see the problem with hanging out with the guy. But just make sure he doesn't get so close to your wife. Its okay to be cool with him, but I wouldn't put it past him doing some shyt like that since you say he sleeps with MW.
GooseChaser Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 My friend is not the one who is cheating. He is single and unattached so he can sleep with whoever he wants. He is not betraying anybody. A person might be unattached and have the freedom to do that, but it is a good thing to be able to respect the marriages of others by not trying to intrude and tempt them to cheat. It is about as bad for a single person to help a married person cheat as it is to be the married person who is cheating, in my view.
GooseChaser Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Oh, Woggle, I wanted to say that I'm glad that you had that good experience involving the nature of women. Hopefully that makes things look less black and white, and maybe in the future you will see more things that will help your faith in women. Men and women, we're all human. You just have to find a good one. Best wishes.
InceptorsRule Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 A friend of mine who is a bigtime player told me that he can pick any randomn woman with a wedding ring and get her to cheat. He took me out today to try and display it for me since tourist season will be over soon and he kept striking out over and over again. This is a guy who can easily get a woman because I have seen him in action but most of these women seemed offended by the very idea that they would cheat. I did not expect this. Maybe their husband were nearby but I was pleasently surprised. Maybe his wingman was giving off a bad vibe.

He has been a true friend since day one and I know he would never stab me in the back. I have seen the man in action and he knows how to get the ladies. He also seeks out married women on the internet. He is not as bad as a cheater because he has no obligation to any woman. He is single and if they choose to cheat then that is on them. All this stuff about respecting marriage is bull. The marriage has already been disrespected when she decided to cheat. If it's not him then it's somebody else.
InceptorsRule Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I have known this guy since high school and he has only recently become a player because he is sick of being a nice guy and getting played. He only did this to prove a point that any woman will cheat if given the chance but it backfired. He does sleep with married women but he is not forcing them to. They choose to cheat. LOL keep this guy away from your wife Woggle, he's exactly the type who would make a point of trying to pork her.
Pyro Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Your friend whom you speak so highly of is an accomplice to cheating, which is just as bad. An accomplice to murder gets in trouble as well as the murderer.
Author Woggle Posted September 5, 2010 Author Posted September 5, 2010 Your friend whom you speak so highly of is an accomplice to cheating, which is just as bad. An accomplice to murder gets in trouble as well as the murderer. You can't compare murder to cheating. It's like a buying an item at a police auction or buying a tax seizure house which is what I did.
GooseChaser Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 You can't compare murder to cheating. It's like a buying an item at a police auction or buying a tax seizure house which is what I did. We're talking about people here, not property to be bought.
Author Woggle Posted September 5, 2010 Author Posted September 5, 2010 I would literally trust this guy with my life so I know he would not betray me like that. I slept on his couch when I was on the verge of homelessness.
Pyro Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 You can't compare murder to cheating. It's like a buying an item at a police auction or buying a tax seizure house which is what I did. The comparison is accurate as in a bad act is being committed whereas you comparison to purchasing a home is ridiculous. It kills you to know that your friend is on the same level as a cheater.
xpaperxcutx Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Woggle I hope one day you will come to the conclusion that not all women are evil....
Author Woggle Posted September 5, 2010 Author Posted September 5, 2010 The comparison is accurate as in a bad act is being committed whereas you comparison to purchasing a home is ridiculous. Pyro Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Maybe it is not a good thing to do but he is not commited to anybody. He never promised to be faithful to anybody. Again he is knowingly having affairs with women who are already committed elsewhere. That makes him an accomplice to cheating. Your friend is not a saint like you make him out to be. Find some friends with more quality.
