Ten is NOT big. Its just not skinny.

Yeah, and it depends. I knew a tall, slender woman who was 8-10, and she definitely wasn't overweight. And when I was a teen, I was a 10 in pants. I wasn't overweight, but I had to go up sizes in pants all the time because they wouldn't fit over my hips otherwise, and then I'd have to take in the waist so they'd fit properly. These days I'm generally a two sizes smaller than that, but I still have the same fit problem.

I think those women are size 14-16...quite big, even for US standards.

What?! You're on drugs. Those girls are no more than thick, at all.

Can we PLEASE not have another thread where certain body types are bashed and made fun of? I don't think that was the point of the OP (mostly because he's done that in other threads) and I think its juvinile and offensive.

Does go to illustrate that there are tastes for every look out there though.

Eating healthy is a LIFESTYLE. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a household where soda, candy and fast food were a rareity and our family ate well rounded dinners: protein, carbs, vegetables. Eating healthy was a learned behavior for me. That being said however, my family never showed concerns over corn syrup, processed foods, etc and, you guessed it, these things are a common part of my diet today, as they are for many American adults. I simply am not educated on these things, nor am I motivated enough to do so. This old dog is comfortable not to care about learning any new tricks. But I'm still not saying this is right. This is the same reason (or excuse) people give who eat crap...its what they grew up with, what they know, what they are comfortable with, and heck they haven't died yet, so whats the problem? Finding alternatives is time consuming and seemingly unpractical when hunger sets in at mealtime. People often refer back to what they know. EDUCATION is the only real solution here. But I do agree raising prices of crap food would be another good headway...

They're thick, and even not-fat people have rolls.

[]And I’m sick of them blaming everything else but themselves, ‘ fast food should be more expensive, ‘they should make all products low fat’ etc

I used to be skinny kid then when I was about 16 my metabolism changed, and I hated it. I went vegan for about a year, and now I’ve been Vego ever since (4 years now) and I am the perfect size 10 .

I think that SOCIETY is partly to blame. The part I'm sick of is how entitled fat people seem. Like they complain when clothes doesn't fit them right... I mean I'm tall clothes don't always fit me right. Then they cause seats to become wider on planes... and they pay the same price as I do yet they bring a 100lbs more then me onto the plane. The seats are especialy uncomfortable for me being tall because to make room for fat people they put the rows closer togather so that they can make more rows that are WIDER... instead of less rows with more leg room.

The point of this thread is even though a lot of dating advice involves... "Lose weight" society is built to make people fat. I want that to change. I want to go back to the days where you had to be rich to be fat.

A lot of things would help. They feed school children CRAP and they give them NO or LITTLE physical education.

Fresh Fruit, Vegetables, and Nuts are GREAT. Many people these days don't even know how to slice an apple. It's sad but true.

To me a nice dinner would be some wild rice, fresh brocoli, and grilled chicken with a glass of water.

A lot of people consider a nice dinner a lean quisine micro wave dinner. with a slice of white bread and a Coke. High SALT, High SUGAR, VERY PROCESSED. You can't win.

I love just having some fruit for dinner. I love having things plain. To me a sweet potatoe taste great with out added butter or sugar.

The critical thinking skills in this thread is terrible. I think after reading this, we should be more concerned with stupid people than fat people.

You didn't read my thread because I also said Fat/Stupid have a corelation.

You may have said it, but it doesn't mean that it is true. Obesity and low socioeconomic status have a correlation. There is a difference. But you assume I was referring to you with my previous statement.

You have two posts so let me get to the heart of the matter:

Green is super tall, super in shape, can last for days in bed, has the hottest girlfriend ever and has a Doctorate.

How much of that is true? Probably very little, but that's what he says. He's self absorbed though, that much I know.

You said maybe we should be more concerned with stupid people then fat people. I simply made a reply saying that fat/stupid goes togather.

I could care less if you were talking about me.

Plenty of larger people are dating and married. You must be almost blind.

I assume all your friends are skinny.

Plenty of all types of people are dating and married including prisoners, mentaly handicapped, and dwarfs... Doesn't mean it makes DATING easier. Ok maybe being in jail makes dating easier but the other two don't.

I'm just pointing out we always give people the advice... Get in SHAPE. I see it come up EVERY time people say they are having trouble dating. heck its given when people arn't even fat.

All I'm saying is "Don't Blame Fat People" the system is set up to create LOTS of fat people.

You also have said that being fat and stupid go together. All that says is that larger people are not intelligent. That is an insult to many.

I don't know why girls get upset about how most guys don't want to date larger women. I know in my case that I am of average size and wouldn't want to date a woman that was larger than me or close to the same size. Usually when women get too big everything beautiful about their bodies vanish.

A little overweight isn't a huge deal, but too big isn't something that I nor most men are into. It's just how most women wouldn't want to date a guy that was smaller than her in terms of weight or height.

1) Higher BMIs are associated with poorer cognitive performance in a linear way

2) Higher BMIs at baseline were associated with a higher level of cognitive decline

This science blog talks about the study I got that info from http://scienceblogs.com/retrospectacle/2006/10/bmi_and_cognition_does_fatter_1.php

The truth is girls don't want to date really FAT men. You can have a fat football player who is still that right combo of confident and strong to be considered sexy. When women get fat I do not find it attractive. They just look stretched out and sickly. I don't even find their face attractive... the body I find even less attractive.

If a guy finds fat women who weigh more then they do attractive then thats great for them. They will have a lot to choose from when dating.

I don't blame fat people for being fat as I keep repeating. Please everybody VOTE for healthier food for children. Vote for an end to CORN paid for by our government... and it healthy food should be cheaper.

Bag of chips, cookies, soda, tv dinners ... ect should be more expensive then they are currently.

why do you base your opinions on research done almost 4 years ago?

Stupidity is not based on ones weight/BMI

Plenty of smart and not so smart of all shapes and sizes.

The blog post was from 4 years ago the research is current.

I also see the less disciplined mind of fat people for myself and make my own judgment.
