preraph
That merge thing did have a button down below to undo it, but can't remember what it said.
Happy Lemming
2 hours ago, Paul said: No, I was referring to the Private Browsing feature documented in this link. No... I wasn't using that feature in Firefox. Actually didn't really know it existed (until now). I'm just using regular old Firefox where I click the icon on my desktop that Mozilla put there when I down loaded the browser. I've never made any modifications to the browser or changed the settings or opened that "private browsing" window.

After some thought, it would only do that in instances where you were the last person to respond--and then only during the time when you could make edits. I think if you want a new post, create a new post and if you want an edit, edit the post. It was doing some really weird and inconsistent things in terms of member experience.
spiderowl
Much as I love Loveshack, I do not find the new format very intuitive. It seemed easier the way it was. I guess the update was to resolve some issues and for security reasons.
Author The Outlaw
I still dig it, but I'm surprised that while older messages are archived, there wasn't a link to the old LS forum as a read only site. Just for old times sake.

preraph
I think I'm fully adjusted to this new site and like it. Seems like all the bugs are out and there's only one little thing going on on Android that's annoying but I'm not sure it has to do with this site or if it just has to do with my phone. When you're reading your notifications and you go read one and you're done reading it and hit the back arrow it seems like it ought to take you back to your notifications but it takes you back to the original screen wherever you started. but you know cell phones are annoying at least mine because they only have a back button and they don't have a forward button so that you could go back and forth. so you always have to open up the menu and hit your notifications over and over.. but it's a lot easier to read and write on my phone with this new format. We just implemented a change that I think might help with this. Now, on smaller screens such as mobile, the notification bar will stay at the top of the window. The notification popup is not a web page, so instead of pressing back, just press the bell icon to get back to the notifications.
preraph
Yes that sounds like an improvement because it will save a step or two. Thanks!

I would read one notification and then it took many tries of the back and forth to even find the bell thing. It’s so easy now.
nospam99
Something else I just noticed .... only with javascript on does the bolded line '@name said:' appear at the top of a quote block when the quote was saved before the transition. Therefore I can't tell who is being quoted. Still not enough reason for me to turn javascript on but sure makes it more difficult to follow the discussion in a topic. CautiouslyOptimistic
I'm sorry if this has already been addressed. Is there a way to get the "undo" button back on the task bar?

Are you saying an undo button on the editor where you create a new post or message?

Are you saying an undo button on the editor where you create a new post or message? Yes. So, like next to the Bold, Italic, Underline buttons/icons....pretty sure there used to be an "undo" as well. ETA: Often if my fingers go crazy and accidentally delete everything I've typed, I could just use the undo button to put it all back. Right click/undo doesn't work that way though :(. William
Testing accidental erasure..... I selected the text above and hit 'delete' which could easily be done in error. I then, on my laptop, hit command-Z and that immediately restored the deleted text. Systems vary but you may have a browser/system solution when accidentally deleting text. Another feature, perhaps already discussed, is the 'last text' feature which I ran across when accidentally clicking out of the page while forming up a post like this one, or deleting the browser tab it was in. I found, when returning to the thread in a new window or tab and hitting reply, the forum would populate the window with the previously typed text and there was an 'erase editor' option at the bottom. UpwardForward
Omigosh, The new site layout is terrible. The one thing LoveShack had above any other site was it's wonderful layout. Just had to scroll down to any topic and find the most recent w replies. Then to easily go in for more under the same topic. Not an improvement by any means. Why do it?? lonelyplanetmoon
Why does the font size have to be sooooooooo small? there is so much white space. The text wraps anyway. I like the layout except the font size.
