Green Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Somedude isnt a physical speicmen but hes not in bad shape at all Thast my point as long as a women is somewhat skinny evne if shes not in great shape and doesnt workout allot she thinks she desrves a ripped dude To answer the question [Girls:what is "too fat" in your book?] All I have to say is... who cares. Women don't really know what a man looks like out of his clothes... and even obviosly fat men can get women if they just have CONFIDENCE (money, sucess, something special like fame or just being damn good) But yes Soooome women can be picky. you either put them in their place or move on to the many other more pleasent sexy better women
Green Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 This is not the case, wrestled all the way through high school, and you see lots of guys with extremely low body fat percentages in wrestling who merely have "flat" stomachs, or a "two pack" despite immense amounts of core work (wrestling is mostly core and leg work). Lots of men can not ever develop a six pack. I'm talking about a low level six pack. I've never had anything to the level of what I see in USMC manorexic photos but a nice meaty six pack sure. and really I'm happy with a stomach that has no gut and a few defined muscular contours. I don't need to or want to be ripped.
CLC2008 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Thast my point as long as a women is somewhat skinny evne if shes not in great shape and doesnt workout allot she thinks she desrves a ripped dude That is simply not true. How come very few actually acknowledge what some of the women here have posted but instead make up your own conclusions? Geesh.
meerkat stew Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 That is simply not true. How come very few actually acknowledge what some of the women here have posted but instead make up your own conclusions? Geesh. Actually this is evidenced by female response to OP in this thread, some asking if he is "inactive" No men would be saying that if OP were a women and posted pics with gender equivalent muscularity and fat content.

No, I skimmed through some of the posts, and I don't see where the majority of them said they feel entitled to a "ripped" dude.
Author Labster12 Posted September 1, 2010 Author Posted September 1, 2010 Cristiano has a very good body (no homo)...not extremely muscular, but very lean and defined...I'm going to have to agree with Green here and say that soccer players have generally more desirable physiques than American football players... A VERY small percentage of football players have that "six pack" look... I notice the look more on WRs and on RBs, rarely on Quarterbacks. Never on Offensive Linemen, Defensive ends tend to have that muscle man look. I just don't do too much weights, I do more running type exercises and push ups, so I have that skinny lean type body..
SteveC80 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 No, I skimmed through some of the posts, and I don't see where the majority of them said they feel entitled to a "ripped" dude. You think theyre gonna post and admit something like that:laugh: Look at there responses on some guy who i think is near 30 and isnt in bad shape at all for his age yet they called him inactive:laugh: and said he looks like hes never lifted anything in his life Could u imagine a Man doing the same to a womens picture? hed be cruciifed and called a scumbag The stuff women get away with

There were several posts, where women said they had dated and/or been in relationships with men, who had some chub and that they found them attractive regardless. Just because that picture, was commented as "inactive", doesn't mean he's not attractive. Looking at the picture, full on, an honest answer was given and that the photo does not appear to be someone who works out regularly. But, he never claimed that he did, me thinks. And you are most likely right on the last part, it's biological.
meerkat stew Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I'm.... too fatty for my love too fatty for my love Love's going to leave me. I'm... too fatty for my shirt too fatty for my shirt so fatty it hurts And I'm too fatty for Milan New York and Japan And I'm too fatty for your party too fatty for your party No way I'm disco dancing I'm a chubster model you know what I mean and I do my fatty turn on the fatwalk Yeah on the fatwalk on the fatwalk yeah I do my fatty turn on the fatwalk And I'm too fatty for my car too fatty for my car too fatty by far and I'm too fatty for my hat too fatty for my hat What do you think about that? I'm too fatty for my too fatty for my too fatty for my Cos I'm a chubster model you know what I mean...

Uh, in my very next post I said that I did work out regularly. Though that should be obvious in the second picture I posted. Somebody who doesn't work out wouldn't have arms or pecs developed, unless they have very good genetics and muscle is just given to them. The inactive comment is a little hurtful because I do regularly work out. But it is coming from somebody with an untrained eye. Which is how most girls are going to see me. BTW, anybody who thinks I don't work out. Try squatting your body weight using proper form. If you can do that, great. Add 30 more pounds and try again.

All I was trying to say, was that not all women, care about whether or not a guy has rock hard abs or that they prefer that he does. It's an added bonus, yes, but IMO, I've never been attracted to a guy simply on that one factor alone. And, you seem to have a very handsome face (I've seen other pics).
somedude81 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Thanks for your comment. Yeah, I know the body is mostly a bonus for women. There's also the factor that it's mostly hidden by clothes. Except for the the arms, chest and shoulders which can be seen if wearing a tight shirt. I think I have a real nice lower body, but it's not like I can go around showing it off without getting some attention from the wrong people. The main goal for working on my body, is so girl will look over the fact that I'm not tall. And, you seem to have a very handsome face (I've seen other pics) You sure about that? I've never posted a full face pic here. The one on my profile pic is my face, with a bit of touch up added in

Star Gazer Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 The inactive comment is a little hurtful because I do regularly work out. But it is coming from somebody with an untrained eye. Which is how most girls are going to see me. What makes you think I have an untrained eye? I've lived in a gym since I was 14, and have spent considerable time engaging in sports since then, and now I'm 32. I know what an active body looks like. I'm sorry you found my comment that you look "inactive" to be hurtful. You started this thread to ask if you were "too fat." You thus requested criticism, right? Or did you just want us all to blow smoke up your arse?? I didn't say you were "too fat," I just made an observation about what your body looks like in terms of activity level. BTW, anybody who thinks I don't work out. Try squatting your body weight using proper form. If you can do that, great. Add 30 more pounds and try again. Funny you should say that. I did 60 unweighted squats, and 45 weighted squats (with 50 pounds), just tonight...amongst other things. Yes, I almost died, but... your point is??
Fay Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Does the guy have to have a six pack in order for you to date him? Is a little bit of belly fat okay or what. Basically, in your book, how fat is TOO FAT? A little bit of a gut isn't a big deal. It's not the same as being chubby. Chubby is when you have flab around your face, arms, legs, etc... After 25, even really skinny guys get a gut a lot of the time. It's kinda hard to avoid. I prefer a flat stomach, but a visible 6-pack just means the guy has no layer of fat over his midsection, which isn't good either. I like a little inch-deep layer of fat because it makes a guy soft to the touch. I'm not into caressing rocks. OK, how fat is too fat? I'd say BMI 24 is my cutoff (that's about 6 foot, 177 lbs), unless the guy's, like, really muscular. Even then, I'm not into bulky, big-boned, muscular dudes, so yeah, 24's my cutoff. And if he's sporting BMI 23-24, he better have a face like a glowing god and a personality and penis to match. BMI 22 is ideal. Too skinny is under 20.
somedude81 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I think so...there was one where you had the eyes blocked out (I can't remember which thread it was though, and then the one you posted in this thread). Guess that was me, I was wearing some big glasses to cover my eyes. I know what an active body looks like. Then I guess it seems that you expect too much or you have a different idea of what active and normal is. A few years ago, I was about 130lbs which is 30 pounds lighter than I am now. I had a friend who was very much into fitness. He said I was fat. Obviously 5'6, 130 isn't fat. Too him, fat actually meant somebody who wasn't in top shape. Being super fit, was his baseline. Funny you should say that. I did 60 unweighted squats, and 45 weighted squats (with 50 pounds), just tonight...amongst other things. Yes, I almost died, but... your point is?? Awesome, I love it when girls do squats. Not enough do. Though you misunderstood when I said body weight. I meant have the bar and weights, be your actual body weight and squat that. Most people can't. My most recent set of squats were at 190. Now if only I could get my upper body stuff up to decent numbers so that it will be obvious that I train.
Fay Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I'm wondering if I'm too fat right now. Totally relaxed. Though I do think I look kind of ok in some circumstances Obviously flexing and bending down Sucking in my gut with great lighting conditions Little on the tubby side, and also very out of shape. I wouldn't sleep with you. Sorry, I don't mean to be a b|tch, but you asked.
somedude81 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Little on the tubby side, and also very out of shape. I wouldn't sleep with you. Sorry, I don't mean to be a b|tch, but you asked. Wow, honest comment. I understand the tubby side, but where are people getting the very out of shape part from? How is it even possible to guess what my level of strength, endurance and overall fitness level from a couple of pictures?
Fay Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 To answer the question [Girls:what is "too fat" in your book?] All I have to say is... who cares. Women don't really know what a man looks like out of his clothes... Yeah, if he's wearing a potato sack... You can easily tell a guy's weight unless he's, like, wearing a girdle! I'm actually a whiz at guessing guys' weight within 5 pounds, even if they're wearing a heavy coat.
Fay Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Wow, honest comment. I understand the tubby side, but where are people getting the very out of shape part from? How is it even possible to guess what my level of strength, endurance and overall fitness level from a couple of pictures? Who said I care about fitness or endurance? I'm judging your looks, not your health. I'm sure those female bodybuilders are in great health, but you probably wouldn't want to sleep with one, would you?
Star Gazer Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Then I guess it seems that you expect too much or you have a different idea of what active and normal is. Too him, fat actually meant somebody who wasn't in top shape. Being super fit, was his baseline. Have you heard of "skinny fat"? Thin/slender, sure. But soft. Though you misunderstood when I said body weight. I meant have the bar and weights, be your actual body weight and squat that. Most people can't. My most recent set of squats were at 190. Oh, fair enough. I was doing a cardio-circuit thing that incorporated squatting with a bar only, and then the bar plus weight. But yeah, I can still squat my body weight (which is more than you'd think, looking at me). Not many times, but I can. My upper body, on the other hand, is pretty much........pathetic. I have defined bis and tris and yet I'm the weakest person on the planet. Almost embarrassing. Now if only I could get my upper body stuff up to decent numbers so that it will be obvious that I train. I think if you lean down and lift heavier weights it will be more obvious. You also seem to slouch forward a little bit?? Maybe work on your posture. That said... as I think someone else said, a chick doesn't NEED a guy to have a hot body. Really, a bod like yours is pretty much par for the course for guys with handsome faces. If it's any better than that, it's honestly just an added bonus.
Green Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Yeah, if he's wearing a potato sack... You can easily tell a guy's weight unless he's, like, wearing a girdle! I'm actually a whiz at guessing guys' weight within 5 pounds, even if they're wearing a heavy coat. Well that proves it. I mean use USMC for example, if he were in a suit... you wouldn't know he was ripped. If he was in a tight tshirt sure maybe then... but a sweatshirt or sweater or buttone up shirt and pants... all you would know is he wasn't fat... not that he was ripped. Fay sleeping with a girl like you is easier done then said. I don't think I'd have any trouble if I was single and happened to give a damn. (I'm not ripped) (I'm also VERY hairy)
USMCHokie Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 How is it even possible to guess what my level of strength, endurance and overall fitness level from a couple of pictures? I avoided commenting earlier about your pictures since you weren't the OP and didn't want to threadjack, but it appears it's happening anyway, so I'll throw in my 2 cents. I found it fairly clear that you at least weight trained from the few pictures that you presented. At this point, the primary factor that will dictate your progress is your nutrition...you're starting to build a decent base of muscle, and if you continue what you're doing and perhaps increase the intensity and difficulty of your workouts while improving your diet, you'll notice significant results in about a year...
CLC2008 Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Well that proves it. I mean use USMC for example, if he were in a suit... you wouldn't know he was ripped. Stung Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I haven't looked at the pictures everyone seems to be arguing about right now, but to answer the OP: Too fat, IMO, is a very large very pregnant-looking beer gut, or a very large degree of overall body jell-o complete with man-boobs. I've dated muscular but stout, husky, lean, lanky, wiry, average, ripped, average-with-pot belly; all those body types were nice, what mattered most was the face, the bearing, the personality/charisma. I've dated two really ripped guys, and while one of them was pretty hot and had a lot going for him the other one was a big turn off, he was terribly vain and all he could talk about besides music was working out and fitness. The music talk was fine, but then he got boring quick.
