xpaperxcutx Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I'm very well aware of that. That's why I'm trying to gain as much mucsle as possible. Unfortunately, fat also comes with it. Right now I'm 5'6, 163 with the goal of hitting 170. Then losing the fat, while trying to keep muscle loss to a minimum. That's why I said to lift heavy. Lifting heavy garauntees minimal muscle loss. You can always put on 10lbs of lean mass and then lean out from there.
Lorelai Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 The men I find most attractive physically have broad shoulders and padding. Most would be classified as definitely overweight. But they have muscle underneath the fat. What would I classify as "too fat"? Probably if it interfered with having sex in missionary position. Given that my sister, who is 5'1 and was skinny when she met her 6'5, 300+ lb husband, said they never had any problems making things work I would say that gives a pretty wide range of weight. I still thought he was attractive. But he used to play football, so has the wide shoulders and muscle structure underneath the fat. If a guy was that overweight without the underlying muscle structure, I doubt I would find them attractive. The guys I've dated that weren't muscled were pretty slender.
Eeyore79 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 My bf weighs about 230 pounds and he's incredibly sexy and gorgeous. He's obviously overweight, but I really don't care because he's a lovely person with beautiful eyes and a nice smile. The OP looks absolutely fine to me in those photos; in fact he could be considerably heavier and I'd still date him if I liked his personality.
denise_xo Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Does the guy have to have a six pack in order for you to date him? Is a little bit of belly fat okay or what. Basically, in your book, how fat is TOO FAT? 'Too fat' to me is when it translates to inactivity and unhealthy lifestyle. If you're active, can go on long hikes, be energetic, walk rather than get in a car, and understand that looking after your physical health is as important as looking after your emotional or intellectual well being, I don't care about some belly or extra padding (can be good for nibbling on, IMO ). The 'I spend three hours in the gym every day' look doesn't do anything for me, but I kind of appreciate the effort that goes into it.

I hear this from women a lot of the time, yet these women will swoon over men like Gerard Butler. It would be interesting to see how many women have actively seeked out and watched 300 with a ripped to the hills, Gerard Butler. I remember watching Gerard Butler appear on Jay Leno shortly before 300 came out and the amount of screaming, fanatical women in the audience was deafening. Queen Latifah was practically orgasming in her chair throughout the entire Gerard Butler interview.
ascendotum Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Hey troll... I mean OP.... once they see your Indian, the belly won't matter, lol touché. lol As Hokie deduced no girl is going to know you have a six pack unless you wear those mesh tops the gays like. A little bit of belly fat is no problem, though of course it depends on how fit/trim/lean the girl is you are hoping to date. Belly fat is viewed much less harshly on a guy than it is for a women. Up to a point, extra bulk for a guy adds to his masculinity. Too fat is probably at the point when his body jiggles or as a couple of the women here having pointed out, it effects his fitness & activity levels. Having a belly in your 30s is less of deal than it is in your 20s as so many women who are overweight feel less self conscious of their own body and are more comfortable in dating a guy who is also a bit overweight. Its funny I've known a handful of women in their 30s who hook up with guys that have bit of a beer belly and they make a fuss over how they certainly didn't choose him for his physique while patting his stomach. The guys in question were all 6ft+ broad shoulders and built like retired football full backs. Yeah, they really settled there. A belly if its on a big beefy blokey guy is no great negative for the majority of women IMO. For me, I prefer a guy that's fit, although a sex pack would just be an added bonus ( I have a thing for bodybuilders and personal trainers). But that's just me. Err..just you and 60% of the female population.
Green Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 LOL, in one post I'm told I look like I'm totally inactive and the other one I'm called buff Thats what you get for posting a picture of youself with out a shirt on. You should pm your favorite female poster and ask her to return the favor. (give you a shirtless pic). I just want to be hot man, make women jump on me and have sexy time. Well then take my advice for once in your life. USMC is many more times ripped then I am but there is no doubt in my mind that when it comes to the real world my attitude gets more women. You want women to JUMP on you and have sexy time then be yourself and go after women. Seriously your body is fine its your attitude that is the problem.

I'm surprisingly not offended by this...it's probably true...

OK, I don't know who Gerard Butler is but I'm not really attracted to a body unless it's accompanied by an impressive mind, and physically speaking, eyes are better indicators of that than muscles [i know, I know, I only say that - I CAN'T mean it - I'm a woman! Give me a good body and I'm GONE! and in any case, all I want is good genes for purposes of reproduction!]
phineas Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 You want women to JUMP on you and have sexy time then be yourself and go after women. Green Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 This. However, it may take adding some muscle to his frame to get him to change his attitude. A lot of muscle heads DON'T have girls jumping them. Many of them seem to have the same lady problems guys with out much muscle have.
somedude81 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 The problem is that adding muscle isn't exactly easy. I lift heavy, I eat. I've had a feeling for a while that my genetics are messed up which makes it really hard for me to gain muscle. I'm also an ectomorph and it seems that I'm gaining more fat then muscle in spite of me going heavy weights. USCM, what was the heaviest you've ever been? I was surprised to learn that you are 155. Though you're body fat is most likely very low. be yourself and go after women. Seriously your body is fine its your attitude that is the problem. However, it may take adding some muscle to his frame to get him to change his attitude. I agree with phineas. It's much easier to have a good attitude when you know that women are attracted to you. As bad as it is, my current belief is that women are not attracted to me and I must somehow convince them to like me when they have no attraction. Reading the forums here, I get bombarded by posts from girls who indirectly tell me that at 5'6 I'm too short for them. So I could either shoot myself or try to become more attractive in ways I can control. So I'm trying to get big, to make women physically attracted to me, and it's frustrating that it's taking so long.

I might jump up to ~158 or so on any given day for a number of reasons, but it's been pretty steady for the past few years. I'm not looking to gain anymore weight or mass for my small frame, so I eat just enough to maintain my weight. I weighed 125 lbs about 8 years ago, so it definitely took a while...
Green Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 sorry guys but you do have to make women attracted to you. Should have been born a women if you wanted to just sit around waiting to accept or reject some one whose goal it is too penetrate you.

No wonder you can strap 100lb weigh to you when you do pull ups you weigh 60lbs less then me. But using the 105 lb dumbells is pretty impressive still. We should go into the hyperbolic time chamber and train DBZ style USMC you could be the krillen to my goku

Green Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Heh, sounds like a plan. u do watch DBZ right? That is the trick by the way. Stop caring about what "girls" think and just live your life read comics, watch action movies and have FUN. I don't work out to look good for women... I could care less what women think of me. I look in the mirror and love what I see. Enough of these "is it olright to spank my gf" threads. If it gives you sexual pleasure then YOU SPANK HER ASS and enjoy it. While your at it give her the SHOCKER just for fun.

Author Labster12 Posted August 31, 2010 Author Posted August 31, 2010 I don't have the six pack football player body but I have the soccer player body, mainly similar to the one Cristiano Ronaldo has. Then again I run a lot and rarely lift heavy weights.
In_Repair Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I'm what most teenage meatheads turn into in their middle age stage. I still have the nice shoulders with nice traps, and you can see some ripples through my shirt, my arms are pretty good still, and I have a nice six pack... buried somewhere beneath my big old flabby ass belly. LOL. I'm usually one of the "bigger" guys that most of the women I date have ever been with, but I've had several tell me that they like it. When I was 20 years old and walked around at 6'2" weighing 220ish, I had my pick of women. In my late 20s when I was miserable and ballooned up to 290lbs, I hardly got any second looks it seemed. Right now, in my mid thirties, and weighing close to 240lbs... I do okay. The girl I am seeing now is 21, hot as hell, and weighs 115lbs... so I'm not complaining. Proper presentation of the positive attributes you do have, along with a good attitude are more important.
Star Gazer Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I'm saying that based on your first picture, you look buff, emphasis on body size but still have a decent amount of fat ( otherwise your abdominals would be noticeable). We must not be looking at the same picture. In the first picture he looks like he's never lifted a weight in his life. (No offense, dude!)
kiss_andmakeup Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Of course we all like mates who are in good shape, but given the choice between skinny and slightly chubby, I'd take slightly chubby. Nothing turns me off more than a really skinny man (sorry skinny guys!) For reference, I'm a pretty thin gal (5'9 115). Of course when we get into obesity or morbid obesity, that is a problem for me. I don't want to be with someone who can't run up a few flights of stairs without getting winded.

USMCHokie Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I don't have the six pack football player body but I have the soccer player body, mainly similar to the one Cristiano Ronaldo has. Cristiano has a very good body (no homo)...not extremely muscular, but very lean and defined...I'm going to have to agree with Green here and say that soccer players have generally more desirable physiques than American football players... A VERY small percentage of football players have that "six pack" look...
