His estate planning should have no legal mandate. What have his kids done to deserve this ? As well as his kids must learn the truth about ho'ma. Pejoratives aside, agreed... Mr. Lucky He is not abandoning the relationship with his kids if he does not want to. He is taking legal precautions to protect his estate. He is taking the courts out of his estate planning. The only reason to take "the courts out of his estate planning" would be to avoid the normal outcome of having children inherit your estate. What have his kids done to deserve that? I'd guess the news they're about to receive will be just as devastating to them as it was for him. And unless he dies intestate, he can plan to direct his estate in any way he chooses. Depending on what happens after his kids find out and the further fall out from his WW and who knows what else. He needs to get full legal protection so that his wishes are carried out. What he wishes he has not stated. And I have not stated what his wishes should be. Only that he needs to plan ahead and protect his own interests.
