I helped raise a boy until he was nine months old. I was 21 at the time. He was not my child. Things did not work out for me and his mom but I loved him none the less. I tried everything I could to get access to him. There was nothing legally I could do. It sure is heartbreaking. Clay I am sorry and I am glad you tried. I don't know if it will work out for OP but he will at least know he tried. I know in the stepfather story I shared it was because he had cared for his son 6 years and his wife went off the deep end. Social services were called in when he found her passed out drunk on one of his visits. No one else stepped up and he was named legal gaurdian. So a uniqie story but his name being on the bC make him a little more than just a step dad.
