I would think that if your dress isn't a lace up, then the girls should be either. I know it isn't in the bridal rule book or anything, but it would just look off to me. Very easy for alterations, but I'm not really a fan of it on those bridesmaids dresses. But again, it all depends on the type of girls you're going to have in your wedding. I've spent the last month trying to find a bridesmaid dress to make them all happy and beautiful(I'm not a mean bride), but I gave up and told them what colors I wanted, the fabric, and which designer. From there it's their choice.

the idea is to make the brides maids look all frumpy and without style. that way the bride can shine in all her splendour

Yeah, but then how will all the groomsmen get laid?

good than you won't have a problem with that material.

Like what?

IMO (and it's only my opinion!), it looks... trashy, for lack of a better word, particularly with the bow directly on their butt.

I saw that after I posted. Don't really care too much for the lace up back on it.

It just doesn't look right, particularly when compared to LB's wedding dress-taste.

I love the celedon green colour though. A friend had her BMs in that colour and they looked gorgeous.

BF's brother's fiance chose that color too. Should be lovely.

I think if she is having BMs that are celadon green, she should be consulting a doctor rather than showing them off to her friends.

i think we should dress the bridesmaids like this:

Here is a great research tool..

I'm particular to the The Pregnant Prom Dress ..

Enjoy .. I would guess this would be a page showing dresses that you don't want for the bridesmaids..

I like this style for bridesmaids. I am really partial to the whole Watters line, though, as I love the feel of their fabrics - very rich and substantial. Sometimes satins can feel very flimsy and cheap and shiny, rather than luxe.

WOW.. I looooove that dress for a bridesmaid... very nice.. and the colour is amazing.. rich steel gray with the bride in white.. you can't go wrong.. and I would get 'coral' flowers .. or just white with greenery... niiiiiice!

That was the colour of my BM dress for my sister's wedding. Everyone raved about it. :)

I don't have a strong opinion regarding the cut/style. I just couldn't help noticing that they are all white. You know the rule, right?

Taking you off the pedestal to the height you will actually be when wearing the dress makes a HUGE difference. You really, really shouldn't go with a wide skirt, LB. You look so ... squat, with a full skirt.

The one you're not a fan of is actually the most flattering silhouette on you.
