How can you tell [you're attractive]

Recommended Posts

I have never understood the time and money invested in a cosmetic world. At some point you will have to take the contacts out, wash the makeup off and portray what's under your mask.

I don't get the focus on something so temporary and superficial.

Of course. That's why you have to:

Workout five times a week at least.

Eat superfoods

Drink lots of water

Stay away from alcohol

Keep your teeth white and only drink your coffee thru a straw as not to stain them

Use sunscreen EVERY SINGLE DAY

Do deep conditioning treatments

And hardly ever wear makeup it only pulls at your skin

(It's not how you look with clothes or makeup it's how you look right out of a shower that counts....)

I highly doubt that will happen.

Not directly. But superficial people tend to nitpick little superficial details that feed into her insecurities. Those guys are a dime a dozen.

She is young now. First it's the nose, then it's a breast lift, then it's liposuction, then it's Botox and face lifts... And on and on. You can't tell me you haven't come across at least one of those guys who passive aggressively drop subtle hints about this or that on your body.

Leigh also doesn't have to tell anyone about her surgery.

Unlike boobs, she could get by without anyone knowing.

Right. Hide every picture ever taken of her pre nose job. Not that easy.

I'm married. I've had three boyfriends my whole life and the last one I married. All of them were obsessed with my face and body. (Not that I'm that great) It's just that I picked men who found me beautiful. I'm the one who beats myself up.

TBH I don't think there is anything wrong with getting any plastic surgery you can afford. Who cares if she gets all of the stuff you listed? There are worse things you can do with your money.

That being said you do have to be careful with this stuff and do a little as possible. Once it looks like you've had something done it no longer looks attractive. When I see women at my gym with obvious boob jobs I think they look comical.

I got that one, and also a sexual one. DSL is the abbreviation. Check urban dictionary.

I only got the racial one. I was in third grade; no one knew about sex yet.

Why my older brother would start something like that is beyond me. To this day, we're not on good terms. He's not in my will; my other siblings are. :)

I am refraining from a red lip.

My mum is travelling to my country and has asked me to select duty free make up that tickles my fancy.

I am going to ask for neutral glosses, is pale pink ok?

I still want to wear lip liner for a definition.......

How about a neutral nude to pale pink lip liner with a few varying shades of lip balm?????

What nude colours would best compliment my skin tone??????

I am very pale..... Not olive as Jen suggested haha.

Regarding my nose job.

I am getting as little done as possible.

For me, it is getting away with less. As less as possible.

I will get a symmetrical version of my current nose. With the end slightly shortened so my nose isn't downward facing so much.

Just so my profile is straight ; with a nice straight nose.

I have no desire for any other surgery.... I like my strong jaw that may not be saught after, but it makes me unique.

I don't want to be a barbie. It is just a crooked nose I am changing. And as little as possible to get a symmetrical and straight affect.

I will still look like Leigh. A strong jaw and my nose will still be strong all be it straight.

And I'll continue to attract the same men. Men who are into cherubic face or button noses still won't find me attractive.

Men like the hot lecturer, which by the way the date went very well....... Will probably couldn't not be too much more attracted to my new nose..... Because he appreciates strong features. He is a succer for full lips and big blue eyes.

I am going to wear my hair straight or slightly wavy, get my eye brown tinted light brown and wear my nude gloss on the lips for tomorrows meet up.

Not sure if it is a date or what. We did kiss and he is very sexually attracted. But he is a bit out of my league speaking honestly.

How can you tell if a guy is out of your league or not????

He said he had met two other girls online but finds me more attractive and interesting and would rather date me.

I find it very hard to believe that such an accomplished 27 yr old with a PHD and a job as a lecturer, and very good looks both body and face, would fancy me a woman two years order than him over the last 22 year old he dated.......

He and he prefers women his own age.........

I digress, I do have the body of a 20 year old despite being nearly 30 and look younger than 28.

I still think he is a bit out of my league and it would be a pain in the assets to date a hot younger lecturer....

Girls regularly come and undo their blouses around him  not something I would want to deal with in a dating partner......

I prefer to only be open to the men that...... how to say this...men who feel lucky to have store me and therefore aren't at a very high risk of cheating.

My friend is 22 and her partner is my age, 28............ He isn't as attractive as she is and he has made inferences to " punching above his weight ".... He was totally infatuated with her and still is years later. He desire her so so badly because while they not only have a true Love connection, she is gorgeous and he isn't. So he doesn't even look at other women since he feels as though he has stuck gold with my " very attractive " mate...

That is more the scenario I am hoping for..not a hot shot lecturer with loads of younger prettier women to choose from.

If it eventuates into dating I never wanted a man who was a bit better looking than me.

I couldn't handle the " wow how did she get him" bullcrap.

Leigh every time you write about how guys you just met are telling you how they "prefer you" over other girls, their wife, their girlfriend, everybody they ever dated - then I know it's doomed, sorry!!!:bunny::bunny: That is NO way to be talking. Ever. Especially when you are just getting to know a guy. STOP THAT.

I want to disagree with all the "no red lipstick" people. I am a huge fan of red lipstick. You have nice lips go for it! Maybe do lighter / flatter eye makeup with it though. Like a really matte nude eyeshadow and only black or grey eyeliner. Pinup style. I really think that looks cool & sexy and you can pull it off.

I think nude is best for you hon. You don't need much color. Also no real need for definition - your natural lines provide enough of that. Go for the soft feel.

You're beautiful, just make yourself beautiful-er. Don't re-invent. :)

You should try wearing your hair off your face sometimes too. Let people see you even if it's just by using your sunglasses as a headband or giving yourself an updo if you want to be fancy.

Yes I model for a local store. The owner of the vintage store spotted me and asked me to Please model her clothes. So I get my gave style of clothes free at times, retro vintage dresses!!!!!

I do wear red lip especially with retro style clothes..... The pin up look. However, I will l, after considering everyones feedback, use a more sheer red that is a lip balm and only stains my lips very subtly. I have ditched the full red lip.

And I said the current guy is OUT of my league indefinately!!!! But there may be a glimmer of hope because he has dated less attractive girls so maybe he is just into my look despite him being way out of my league.

He is a solid 9/10 in the flesh. I am a more 7/10. So I am definately a bit uncomfortable with the gap. I used the less attractive girls as an example.. I am sure a guy in his league has mostly dated model look alikes!!!!!!

:D That's how it is. Enjoy the attention, negative and positive! At least you don't go unnoticed because you have style. If you don't want him then I'll gladly take him. And mind you, I don't have any great features, my physical flaws are more than my beauty. But I do have some distinct features that are either admired or seen with disgust, depending on the person who has beauty contest judge aspirations.

That deep red lipstick. Ditching it is a good idea.

It's yet another trend women have taken on lately that simply turns guys off. Nothing sexy about pale skin and deep red lips. ick.

Remember those maternity shirts everyone was wearing too a few years back? Tighter, with straps near the top, baggy from the boobs to the waist? Made every girl look pregnant or like they had a gut?

I agree about maternity tops but not red lipstick! On its own it can lighten up the entire face. Passers by tend to look into my eyes more when I wear red lipstick. Matte and dabbed on so it looks more natural. But I have smallish lips and very dark hair, so maybe it brings balance of colour on my face.

You'd look fantastic in a nude color lip. There are some nudes that look great on everyone google those and have at least two safe go-to colors. Mac has some nice choices.

Since you have full lips you can't go too colorful or glossy for everyday or you'll look like a porn star. Special occasions you can do more outrageous makeup.

I like lovewearys blonde idea. Blondes do get more attention and my thoughts are if you can wear blonde be as blonde as you can be without looking too pole dancerish.

(I tried blonde. I looked like a corpse.)

And this is pretty much it. Love em or hate em, pole dancers and pornstars turn men on for a living. They know exactly what they're doing. Take a closer look at what they do. Many of the things they do, image wise are absolutely timeless. (their lip color for instance)

You can borrow ideas from them...just enough so other women don't start calling you a slut, but enough that guys stil notice

I don't turn men on for a living. I do it as a hobby.

(It's a joke:o..sort of..)

Some info. for everyone:

Lipstick is suppose to represent the female sexual organ. When a man looks at your lips he's suppose to think about..your lips. This is why a nude pink with a bit of gloss comes across as very sexy.

How can you tell whether you're attractive?

We all know hot men sleep with average women since many men will shag anything on offer. Vomit.

Men probably know more readily whether or not they are considered attractive. Since the hottest women and women in general are more relationship orientated and don't shag average dudes if they are smoking hot women...

Thoughts?

My friends a model and she doesn't have totally hot dudes inundating her.

Does it matter?

I consider myself unattractive, though I recognize there are many men who find me attractive. I never have hurt for attention or men I found attractive wanting a relationship with me. I've never been "used" for sex or anything.

I mean, you can look in the mirror and see whether you meet society's standards for beauty. It has little to do with your romantic life.

I see no point obsessing over it.

I checked out your profile photos. It is certainly not your looks causing you any problem, so I don't think changing any will improve your outcome.

Personally, I think you should keep your nose. It's unique and that sort of thing if confident can only help a woman's overall looks. However, what makes you happy is important so what *I* think doesn't matter. You could look more cookie cutter with a nosejob, if that's what you want.

I am NOT a makeup person but I do think you need to change that. It looked like too much with too much played up at once. The makeup shown in your profile photos diminish your looks rather than accentuating them. Maybe you can go to a makeup artist for a lesson? I personally don't wear makeup so I can't say what exactly is wrong, but I know what I see and I know such things exist.
