Balding is associated with high levels of testosterone..which means he should be up on the masculinity spectrum .. on that thought alone, i get slightly aroused.. :p

My DH shaves his head. He is freaking hot. I say if you don't have a lumpy head go for it.

I think I am inching toward the buzz cut/shave. Haven't taken the plunge yet

My grandfather had the Friar Tuck look. I am not quite balding on top, but it is getting pretty thin. I use a trimmer. 3/8in on the sides/back, 3/4in on the top. Evens it out quite nicely. In college my hair was almost to my butt. I look better with it short I think. Even before it started thinning.
