Author Jannah Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 Ok...it just seemed that way from what you had asked me in the other thread and the continued line of questioning into this thread... So in essense, I agree with you on all points, it's just we seem to have different names for relationships... No problem.
Sabali Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Boy, all this talk of oral sex... hey, Jannah, is that actually you in that avatar?
Author Jannah Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 Boy, all this talk of oral sex... hey, Jannah, is that actually you in that avatar? Yes that me.
Sabali Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Yes that me. You know, my helicopter makes the distance between CLC2008 and my mom's basement really short. I'm just saying.
Author Jannah Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 You know, my helicopter makes the distance between CLC2008 and my mom's basement really short. I'm just saying. Haha, very funny.
alexlakeman Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I figured we'd get more responses in this section....But this thread is a spin off from a thread posted in the Sexual & Reproductive Health and Practices Section, with regard to oral sex. A separate subject was touched on, with regard to whether or not, fellatio or cunnilingus constitutes SEX. Some believe that oral sex, is SEX, whereas others do not agree that it is. So, male and female members of LS, do you agree that it is sex, or disagree. So when a guy give you oral or you give a guy oral, do you count it towards your "numbers"? ie I "slept with xx guys"?
JustJoe Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Do people actually keep track of the number of sex partners they have had? Talk about vanity.
Author Jannah Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 So when a guy give you oral or you give a guy oral, do you count it towards your "numbers"? ie I "slept with xx guys"? I've only performed/given oral in my LTR's, with the exception of one whom I casually dated for a year.
JustJoe Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 If what you say is true, Jannah, and you've only given head to LTR's, with one exception, then you must consider it to be a very intimate act, yourself. Isn't that right?

welikeincrowds Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 casually dated for a year That's possible? This sounds like something I could learn from right now. How/why did it stay casual?
Author Jannah Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 That's possible? This sounds like something I could learn from right now. How/why did it stay casual? Because it was not long after my ex fiance and I split up and I wasn't looking to jump back into a relationship. We both agreed ahead of time, that we would just date and that's it.
USMCHokie Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I've only performed/given oral in my LTR's, with the exception of one whom I casually dated for a year. "Casual dating" can be equated with exclusively dating without necessarily being in a "relationship," yes...?
OceanGirl Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I am with Clinton. Only intercourse counts as sex. I wonder if you guys consider hand jobs sex too?
Author Jannah Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 "Casual dating" can be equated with exclusively dating without necessarily being in a "relationship," yes...? Since he and I casually dated, no, we were not in a "relationship". But I don't consider casual dating someone, the same as exclusively dating someone.
USMCHokie Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Since he and I casually dated, no, we were not in a "relationship". But I don't consider casual dating someone, the same as exclusively dating someone. Fair enough.
Mad Max Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I am with Clinton. Only intercourse counts as sex. I wonder if you guys consider hand jobs sex too? There's plenty of girls(especially religious ones) can claim virginity, yet have sucked off most guys in town. Penetration, oral, hand jobs are all sex. And sadly, some will avoid penetration and suck off so many guys and claim they're virgins. That's even worse than having intercourse with so many.
welikeincrowds Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Because it was not long after my ex fiance and I split up and I wasn't looking to jump back into a relationship. We both agreed ahead of time, that we would just date and that's it. So I guess it's that you both know there's an expiration date? Kind of like when you buy milk? Were you guys also exclusive during that time, or no? This sounds like a situation I'm getting into right now. I'm not sure I can handle the R word at the moment, but I also don't know if I could also handle sharing/non-exclusivity. I don't want to be hypocritical so I'm trying to sort it out.

No, we were not exclusive. I hate to say this (knowing how I am), but I had no genuine feelings towards him, so in that sense, it did not bother me.
make me believe Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 So when a guy give you oral or you give a guy oral, do you count it towards your "numbers"? ie I "slept with xx guys"? I think that's the most important question, because I'm inclined to say "yeah, totally, of course oral sex is sex." But if someone asks me the number of people I've had sex with, I don't include guys that only went down on me. (There are no guys who I went down on but didn't have intercourse with.) So.... hmm. I think that definitely puts a different twist on it.
Knittress Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) Do people actually keep track of the number of sex partners they have had? Talk about vanity. o.O I think "non-sluttiness" would be the more accurate adjective. (I'm cool with all those folks doing whatever, as long as they're cool with the fact that I actually KNOW the people I trade orgasms with - which is somehow 'uncool' nowadays.) EasyHeart Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I can't see anyone besides 16 year old virgins caring about this distinction. To those of you who think oral sex does is not sex, why do you draw the distinction? What are you trying to achieve by removing oral sex from your definition of 'sex'? Is it a way to get a free pass at cheating?
Philetus Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 So, male and female members of LS, do you agree that it is sex, or disagree. Yes, I consider it sex. It's just as intimate, hot, and fun as intercourse.

Also, further to a question I was wondering about last night - think it is mentioned in post #4 on this thread; if one does not include oral sex partners in their magic number, does this mean a lesbian never has sex with anyone, and assuming they have always been lesbian and never experimented with men before they discovered they liked women - do they always remain a virgin???
