LBC Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 lets try to keep one thread OK dont want to search for a new one every week. maybe the mods can pin this one to the top? anyway, 193 this morning same as last week. wasnt a surprise I didnt walk all week due to cold temps and laziness, plus I ate bad this past weekend. but i didnt gain so thats good.
Author hotgurl Posted February 8, 2006 Author Posted February 8, 2006 I am the same to I have been decent with my diet but not with the exercise. Only 2x a week for 20-30 mintues. Any tips on getting motivated. When I get home it's dark and right now freezing so it's harder to convince myself to walk. I do go at lunch time 1-2 times a week but I need to step it up.
Tangerina Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 YAY, I am back down to 130. Before the holidays I was around 127-128, but gained a lot through laziness and chocolate. My first post on this thread had me at 134, so that is 4 lbs lost in 5 weeks.... not bad because I usually only seriously diet 4 or 5 days out of the week..... I mean, I try to be healthy on the weekends, but that is when I don't worry about portion size or avoid restaurants and say yes to random chocolate my BF tries to feed me... this weekend we did a juice fast together cuz he is trying to quit smoking and that helped.... I guess my new goal is to get the little scale needle solidly below 130 before next wednesday, I don't care if it is even just half a lb, I just want it below 130... my big goal was to be to 125 by spring break in 5 weeks, but I will settle for 127... this is where it starts to get harder for me, since 130 seems to be my "set point"... wait, that's not true.... in highschool I was around 133, and in college I got all the way up to 143 with dorm food, but easily got back to 135 and thought that that was my set point, but now I am below all of that, so maybe there are no rules... I have always heard that the last 10 lbs are the hardest, especially since I am technically in my healthy weight range... I just would prefer to be in the middle of that range instead of the upper fringe.... (101-136 is considered healthy for my height, I want to be 120)
bab Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 lets try to keep one thread OK dont want to search for a new one every week. maybe the mods can pin this one to the top? Fair enough! Well, like I said, I'm at 145.2, which is actually about 2 lbs down from last week, so I'm gonna try and stick to 2 lbs a week. Hopeful!!
Tangerina Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Hehe, I am totally pigging out today.... this is basically my busiest day all quater with Midterms and whatever (well, unless I don't get everything done that needs to be done, then tomorrow will be) so I am letting myself eat all the yummy candy.... actually, it doesn't amount to much since I am not really pigging out, just letting myself have some... but it is nice to not count calories for a day, especially on a day that is so crazy!!! Funny thing is, since I am like "OK, yay, pig out day!" I was all hoping for some crazy cheesy pizza or something, but I keep such a healthy fridge and pantry, there isn't really anything to pig out on that isn't healthy.... haha
LBC Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 another lazy week results in no gain and no loss 192.5 this morning. honestly, i am not trying to hard, kinda waiting for the warm weather to get here so i can walk outside. I hate walking on the treadmill in the basement, too boring, maybe i should out a TV down there
Author hotgurl Posted February 15, 2006 Author Posted February 15, 2006 I lost two pounds. I hate the cold too but here I would never exercise if I didn't go out inthe cold so I made a cross country trail on our property. I skied Monday and will again today in the moonlight after work. It's such a work out and you actually get hot. I also went ice skating, did yoga and shoveled snow(but i don't think that counts) I have been reducing my wheat/bread in take. S hopefully I will continue to lose weight. now 171
portableversion Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Got up the courage to weigh myself this morning: 168. I am 6 pounds within the high end of 'normal'! goals for next wednesday-burn 400 cals a day over 4 days through indoor bikings. And eat no more than 1300 cal a day. Net caloric intake of 900 cals a day
Tangerina Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Well, didn't lose any and might have gained... I was 130 yesterday morn but weighed in at 132 this morn.... I think the extra 2 is just "stuff in the system" weight since I have consistantly been 130.... I didn't diet this week and didn't get a chance to exercise and ate unhealthy food since I had midterms, then the Star Wars Slumber Party all weekend (HAHA) and then I had one good day, and then went to a V-Day party, and ended up eating lost of good foor and drinking quite a few beers..... and not the light kind.... starting anew today.... it would be nice to drop one pound this week, but with the long weekend I am going to be at my parents house for almost 5 days so it probably wont happen.... I'll keep being as good as I can be:)
Author hotgurl Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 good morning losing shacker how's the weight coming how are your goals. I lost another 1.5 lbs and now weigh 170. Also I found a weight loss buddy at work and we have a friendly competition going.
bab Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I like the friendly competition thing. I'm at 144. I think that's what I was last week too. I'm under a ton of stress right now and haven't been eating very well. Actually, I haven't eaten at home since last Thursday night. Not particularly good. My goal is to eat at home this week as much as possible.
wing81 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I missed last weeks weigh in but this morning i was 214, but i have seen as low as 212. Slowly making some progress, just wish i had more time to get to the gym.
LBC Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 194 this morning. very lazy, blah blah. BUT, at least i am steady. wierd thing is, last week thrus or fri, the scale said 189.5, then on this past monday morn, it was 197. so its seems I go up and down 7 lbs. 193-194 is my avg weight., so I have not lost amnything yet. BUT, I admit I am not trying too ahrd. Come on spring and warm weather so i can get outside and get active.
Author hotgurl Posted March 1, 2006 Author Posted March 1, 2006 I stayed the same 170 so I got to kick the exercise up a notch.
kitten chick Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I've been away from the board for a while but it's good to see that everyone is keeping up with this. My weight has not changed at all...I think on average I dropped about half a pound. I had bronchitis for about a week and a half and I'm still recovering a bit so my workouts have been sparce the past few weeks. I thought for sure that since I barely ate when I was sick that I would lose weight but nope. No matter what I put into, or don't put into, my body my weight doesn't change. I have a friend who is trying to lose a few pounds also (even though she doesn't need it ) so we're trying to motivate each other and be gym buddies. Is Tangerina the only one who has lost weight since we started this?
Author hotgurl Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 no I've lost four pounds. Just last week I lost nothing. I was sick too and didn't eat and thought for sure I'd drop some weight because of that. I've started walking. ps I love you kitten
kitten chick Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Aww, thank you hotgurl, you made my day. That's great that you lost 4 pounds. Congratulations!
kitten chick Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I'm still hovering too. I've been going to the gym but my weight isn't changing and I physically feel worse. Looks like I'm going to have to find a new workout.
Author hotgurl Posted March 8, 2006 Author Posted March 8, 2006 I lost another 1/2 lb it is going very slow.
kitten chick Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Are you guys staying the same because you're not exercising and eating properly or are you just not losing weight? I'm really frustrated because I feel like I'm doing everything I can and nothing is working.
Author hotgurl Posted March 8, 2006 Author Posted March 8, 2006 I am not doing my best exercise and diet wise so that's why. I just started walking at lunch. the office women love to bring in chocolate so that is hard for me.
BlahBlahQueen Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I'm jumping in. I'm at 127 right now, want to get down to 115. I'm switching to diet soda because I suck down ten cans a day of regular soda. I'm also addicted to bread, so I'm trading that for vegetables. I'll see if I get up the energy to join the gym by my house. I hate exercise. I'm giving myself a month to lose this weight. A local designer wants me to do his runway show in April and I am just so out of shape and repulsive right now. It would be humiliating at this point to even go get fitted. Off I go.
Author hotgurl Posted March 15, 2006 Author Posted March 15, 2006 I am very aggitated last week I decided to walk more so I walked every day for 1/2 hr about 7 miles or more last week. and I gained a pound.
