There are plenty of people in the world who don’t feel guilty about doing things they know are wrong, or who genuinely believe that this kind of behavior is normal. I’m talking specifically about people who know that something is wrong, not just vaguely, but understand it very well. They talk about it all the time, explain why it is harmful, seem genuinely convinced that it is wrong, and may even advise other people not to behave that way, and yet they still do exactly the same thing themselves. How can someone’s intellectual understanding of something be so clear, and yet have so little influence on their own behavior. i mean, to be fair, these are questions that psychologists and philosophers have studied and questioned for centuries. no one is going to be able to "answer" this because there's not a simple one-dimensional answer to a question like that about human behavior. 1 Quote
