They use that excuse "well I thought she should know" like they're doing her a favor. But they weren't telling her when they were with the married man. It's only when it's ending that they get this need to tell the wife. I would never tell. Because I know I would be doing it out of spite. Which would make me even lower than being just a collaborator in cheating. They do it because they think the MM will leave and be with them. Definitely spite.
