(And once before he met me, so I hear). He is currently trying to remain sober, going on 3 months. He has a twin brother who is also an alcoholic, with 5 years sobriety. It was his withdrawal of emotional and physical affection that caused me to break up with him.

People need to be clean for at least 3 to 5 years before being relationship ready. 2
