Poppy!

This is so great, and I'm really happy for you! Keep it going, and stay strong!

I'm a little over a month with NC/LC (low contact meaning he texted a couple of times, I didn't respond or just fired back to leave me alone), and over the past week or so it's getting easier. I no longer miss him as I used to. I'm lonely, but not longing for him. I miss someone who'll be with me full time. Not him, who can only do it part time, barely.

I just go about my life, and I like it. Bad days still come, but I find it easier to pick myself up and move on.

I'll have a glass of wine tonight....cheers!!!

CHEERS everyone.

It was my first day back at work after almost a month overseas holiday.

Stars.. to reply to you.... Emotions have faded a great deal without the constant contact.

I still miss the crazy happy times we had but not the dramas and the upsets involved. My entire life has become much calmer and even paced. I think I have reached an emotional flatline as somebody put it here recently. Hopefully normal feelings will return one day.

I never disliked him. I wish I could really despise him but I don't.

I got weary of waiting for everything as OW do so decided it was enough.

Complete NC has been very tough. It was a decision I made and I intend to stay with it.

I am not miserable now. My solitude is bringing me peace.

Poppy.

Proud of you too Poppy! I can only imagine how difficult it has been to remain strong after 8 years.

I agree that when the emotional connection fades you feel so much more even keeled.

"If you truly love a book, you never put it down.

Every word and line becomes part of your heart and soul forever.

When the covers are unexpectedly slammed shut, you miss the best part of your forever love story".

Oh gurl. Do you think he's being genuine or he's testing the waters?

How do you feel about it?

Goes to show you can block them everywhere but if they want to they can find a way

Oh dear. My heart hurts for you. I cannot imagine being at your stage of healing and then receiving this. Are you ok?

They're still just words Poppy. Pretty words true, but still meaningless words.

Do you have a plan to cope with this?

Sending you strength.

I finally didn't want that lifestyle to continue. It was very unhealthy for me . Living with such a huge secret eventually takes its toll.

These are words you posted a posted a few months back. Don't forget.

He is a cruel A@@Hole for emailing that to you.

But then, they are only words, some letters typed on a screen.

They are cheap, take little effort and time to do.

Actions speak.

8 years you gave (wasted) don't let him hurt you anymore.

My analysis:

If you truly love a book, you never put it down.

Not true. I haven't picked up my favorite books in years.

Every word and line becomes part of your heart and soul forever.

This is true.

When the covers are unexpectedly slammed shut, you miss the best part of your forever love story.

Sheer speculation. He actually has no idea what would have happened if ---. None of us does. And what's with the dramatic flair? He sounds like a bad actor in a poorly-directed film.

But most important - he's comparing you to a book - something that he can put down and pick up at will? PLEASE. You are not an inanimate object that exists for him to ... absorb at his pleasure.

You are a sentient and valuable human being who has loved and lost, like most of us. Learning how to love, and learning how to let go.

Wishing you Teflon resilience. Just let this one keep on floating under the bridge and down the river.

Poppy.

Wow. He's a master of manipulation. But then, it doesn't matter. What matters is how it affects you and how you will respond to it.

How do you feel when you read that Poppy? Do you plan to answer him?

Poppy be strong. I know is easier said than done. You are not his back up plan. You will survive without him.

And if you feel like reaching out to him, reach out to us rather. Post all your feelings here to prevent ruining all the hard work you have accomplished to remain no contact.

Please don't reply please don't reply!

He has to say beautiful things! It's a trap!....the sure fire way to get you to respond!

Why haven't you changed your email yet?

Please at least block his email address so it goes straight to JUNK

Then set your junk mail to auto delete every night.

YOU CAN DO THIS ! YOU DESERVE MORE THEN POETIC WORDS!
