What is the most annoying stereotype about your gender?

You women are PICKIER, but you have options, just options you don't want. As for men, generally, many of them don't have any AVAILABLE options.

 

Is that really true? Have you tried picking up bottom of the barrel desperate women with a really compelling approach, turning on the charm hard? You know, women who haven't been spoken to in 5+ years. Women with severe physical, emotional, financial, and/or mental challenges? Like a retarded homeless woman who wets her pants? You seriously think you can't take her on a date to have dinner at Denny's? Then you're not trying.

He's right- the average woman, even below average, can have sex with an average or above average guy anytime they're ready to make said compromise. The difference is that they aren't interested in average- women (98 percent anyway) are all waiting for the top tier guy, alpha male, their knight in shining armor, and they're willing to hold out until hell freezes over, or until certain realizations occur to them.

 

That's just biology 101, no big revelation. I don't know why women are in such denial about it. All you have to do is look at similar species to see that only a few top males get reproductive rights, and they have access to all the females. We don't like it any better than you, ladies, but we're more willing to call it like it is.

You said in your first post that it annoys you when women say "men always..." and yet, that's basically what you just did about women. Generalizations are never vaild when it comes to people because you're disregarding the fact that everyone has a different personality and different wants/needs.

 

I really don't know very many women like that so it could be the type of people you spend time with. There are instances where it's true, nothing is impossible but all it does is spread a stereotype that women are shallow, incapable of love and follow the masses like sheep. Which annoys me. There are stereotypes that all men are ready to drop their pants at the site of a woman, which spreads a stereotype that men are brainless, stupid and incapable of conscious thought. Which probably annoys you (and it annoys me too).

That most men are not attracted to intelligent and strong women. Not saying there aren't men like this but most of the time when that is said it is usually another personality trait that is turning people off. It's similar to how most women want a genuinely nice guy but men who say they are too nice are covering up for something else.

I think that applies to anyone in love, as it stands, it has been shown that in the case of a FWB...the women is more likely to become emotionally attached than the man, and usually finds some excuse to stay with him even if he doesn't want to commit.

 

You see it all the time here in LS. It may not be every woman but saying it's a vast majority isn't really far off the mark, and most guys on here would agree.

In a woman's eyes, a man who shows sensitive emotions are seen as weak.

 

You have no idea how annoying it is that stereotypically, women expect us men to have our **** together 100 percent of the time emotionally.

I agree with the sentiment regarding the stereotype about average women being able to get men easily.

 

I've struggled all my life. Been rejected by every man I've ever pursued. Rarely get asked out or approached by men who are interested.

 

And I prefer average men. Nerdy types. Not that wonky alpha nonsense.

If their tastes very so much, why do these so-called "alpha males" (the rich, handsome and/or famous) have so many more dating options than other men? If your theory is correct.. most men should have about equal dating options because every woman is unique. Right? But that's not what happens.

 

Why would Channing Tatum have more dating options than your local bus driver? There is really no reason for it other than women have very similar tastes in general.
