singsparkles
Just figured I'd start a thread that everyone could chime in and give their opinions and overviews on what a good relationship and good partner are... I'll start by giving mine: 1) stability (emotionally and otherwise) 2) trustworthiness 3) similar values/morals (life wise/relationship wise) 4) laid back with a good sense of humor (not serious all the time, can laugh stuff off sometimes, even bad stuff) 5) similar interest in music (because I'm such a music buff) 6) someone somewhat cerebral (because I am a very deep person) 7) can have fun together even when you're not doing much of anything 8) someone who treats me like I'm the only person in a room full of people, (special attention) 9) someone who laughs my flaws off, and vice versa (finds love in imperfectly perfect flaws) 10) adventurous/spontaneous, someone who finds beauty in outdoors/nature like I do, likes to travel What are your's?

dynamicboy
See, women and feminist all the time complain, and whine tirelessly how much pressure we men (and the entire world) put into women to confom into tight, demanding and destructive impossible standards. Yet, to make a woman happy, long specific, detailed check lists are demanded and must be met in due time and form. Meeting all requirements by no means warrant you get a date. Please, do notice that checklist can change at anytime without warning. It is men's full responsibility to make sure he is aware of a woman checklist. To make a man happy? Every woman (no matter what) has boobs and a bum.

The check lists that cause trouble are more materialistic & superficial e.g. the guy must: be over 6 feetweigh between 175 - 200 pounds earn 6 figures in one of the following professions or be a superstarhave graduated from a top tier school have blonde hair & blue eyes always send me roses after we make love (but only when I'm in the mood) Do you see the differences in the lists?
True Gent
I think singsparkles and d0nnivain's lists are incredibly good! There are the kinds of qualities I would appreciate and look out for, they are the kind of qualities that give a solid base to help define a strong relationship. I see nothing superficial in there at all.

Which means that there are a few points that are on a second hidden list that I don't meet.

Simply because I pretty much meet every point on that list but I can never even get a date. Which means that there are a few points that are on a second hidden list that I don't meet. To be honest, You're not the only one. I've met guys where I fit the criteria of everything they want, and they still don't want me. I guess a list like this requires more than 10 things.. but I still think it's nice to know what truly means most to you in a relationship, like a top 10 kind of thing. I'm sure there is always more. And trust me...you will get a date. Everyone goes through a time in their life when they're struggling romantically. I'm struggling romantically right now myself. But don't give up or lose hope.
