One of my friends DID see me and posted all over my FB about it and people are laughing I think they're kind of kidding and kind of serious. oh my god it wasn't even there for 24 hours! Stung Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 I met plenty of people to date and have relationships with out in the real world, through social networking, parties, classes, etc. So did my husband. We just happened to meet each other, for which we are very thankful, through online dating. Not a big deal, as far as we're concerned.

They sound like a bunch of peer-pressuring greasy-faced twelve-year-olds. But honestly, your reaction is not any more mature. Your friends wouldn't tease you so much if you didn't respond so beautifully, and transparently, to it. Isn't deleting the profile and thereby letting them know how much control they have over your social life more embarrassing for you as an adult than simply acknowledging that you're trying something new?
