jean-luc sisko Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 What are your dating deal-breakers? For me, no celebrity liking, no smoking, and no small boobs. In seriousness, I find the first one shallow, second one rank, and third one unsexy.
Star Gazer Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 For me, no celebrity liking... Huh? What does this mean??
Mad Max Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 -Lying -Smoking -Drugs -Promiscuous past -Doesn't like dogs
NYCGirly Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 I'll play- 1) Smoker 2) Bad Kisser 3) Unintelligent
yah Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 they must be: college grad able to obtain gainful employment nerd/geek (i like geeky/techy guys) taller than me no potty mouth
kalikula Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 - Effeminate voice (Can be problem if meeting someone from online) - No car - Didn't or isn't going to college - Awkward to the point where it is embarrassing to be with them in public - Always goes dutch and never treats me - Doesn't like beer or won't drink it (I refuse to be more than a man than him haha)
Cee Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 I'm pretty flexible, but these are my main dealbreakers... 1) homophobic 2) actively addicted to something 3) not interested in me There are probably some others, but I don't want to write a laundry list.
Author jean-luc sisko Posted September 7, 2010 Author Posted September 7, 2010 Huh? What does this mean?? No watching E! or reading celeb magazines.
Lovebone Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 wow, you guys are a lot more flexible than I am. Yikes! Dealbreakers: ~taller than 6' ~over 150 lbs ~have bad teeth ~misuse the words "their, there, and they're" ~have a prison tat ~criminal record ~owe me money ~masturbate more than I do ~have been intimate with a relative or cousin ~own a pit bull ~have more than 3 kids ~don't own a car ~unemployed ~have a penis ~bite your toenails ~don't shave yourself down there ~don't bathe regularly ~don't like music ~don't eat meat (cannot to this day understand why anyone would be a vegetarian) there's a lot more, but this is all I could think of right now. good god, people... it's 3 in the morning, cut me some slack.
that girl Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 My deal breakers are more things like "currently married," "liar" and "physically unattractive to me." Really stuff I cannot live with. I could add stuff like "college degree" and "over 6 feet" but these things aren't deal breakers, they are just preferences. Some of you guys are really picky! no celebrity liking No watching E! or reading celeb magazines. She can't even occassionally watch a clip show? Good luck with this one. Doesn't like beer or won't drink it Because guys who prefer wine or whiskey are such pussies. over 150 lbs A tallish woman (5'7"+) can be well within the healthy weight range above 150. masturbate more than I do Because the one thing a guy doesn't want is a woman with a super high sex drive!
SilentVoice Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Brags about everything... it doesn't matter what kind of relationship; I always end up with guys who brag. It is so nice to hear about your new car, new motorcycle, 3D t.v , new furniture, new gadget and how much you tipped the waiter when you took your mother to dinner. Since this is all relevant information.
CLC2008 Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Doesn't believe/adhere to monogamy Lack of LTR history (dependent on age obviously) Drugs Excessive Drinker Overtly flirtatious Bad Kisser Haughtiness

BWLoca Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Bad breath No car Has kids Likes Nickelback Close minded Unadventurous
a_woman Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 - wants to get married - has kids/wants kids - infidelity - no common sense - lack of drive/interests/aspirations - unfit
kalikula Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Because guys who prefer wine or whiskey are such pussies. Well. They don't have to like it but they should at least tolerate it. Another one: Bad breath or doesn't smell good
SilentVoice Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 they are just trying to impress you. are you hard to impress? No, I actually I get impressed easily , but I am very nonchalant with showing that I am impressed. lol It must be me if it happens with every guy.
Philetus Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 unfit and/or leads an inactive lifestyle heavy drug and/or alcohol use depressed and/or negative, whiny personality no sense of humour not financially stable unintelligent closed-minded/racist/homophobic, etc deeply religious unattractive sexually reserved or stunted lying infidelity
naya1 Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 while ive read some of the comments extremely shallow....nothing. i dont know what to say lol anyway heres mine bad hygeine consistent lying (like lying about each and every single thing is kinda annoying) making fun of me hehe racism (towards all races) not liking japanese food (well, i eat it a lot...and its a must he needs to be ok with it) asking me where i go what i do , every minute of every day telling me to lose weight if im getting a bit chubby (i dont need to be told, im right on top of it) telling me to gain weight if im getting too thin and my cheeks start to sink overgeneralizations ignoring me (esp for extended periods of time..) hating animals hating stuff i like, like watching movies, eating, and other extra curricular activities being a snob (turn off) being ignorant of other peoples ways (culture, tradition, etc) turning down all my suggestion, advice and tips without any reason being narrow minded too lazy to please me in bed (if he wants his share i should get mine too at least at some point!) at least be romantic and remember my bday, valentines, Christmas..
Dazzel Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 (edited) These are things I can't stand from past experiences or just stuff in general. If I find someone else someday, these things are a major no-no. - Hates animals - Major hermit/obsessive otaku - No license and refuses to get one - Not self sufficient (ie can't make a phone call to set his own doc appointment so he lets his teeth just give him pain) - Homophobia - Racism - Sexism - Doing dangerous drugs (weed and alcohol, smoking..... those don't bother me, I just don't want heroin, crack, etc in their life) - No straightedge (I prefer someone who can at least have a drink now and the, not someone who thinks it's wrong and dumb to drink and hasn't tried it once....live a little) - No abstaining on sex until after marriage - I don't want to date someone who has kids or wants them - Prefer to be with someone of the same beliefs. I dont like being dragged to church - Good hygeine.....tired of finding guys who go days without showering and don't know what a hairbrush is -Poor dressage- we can have more than just old holey jeans and baggy t-shirts in our wardrobe, yes? - Neglect....not calling me for days on end - No affection....a guy needs to be able to show it to his partner Edited September 7, 2010 by Dazzel
Gattica Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 -arrogant -homophobic/racist -dislikes animals -doesn't get my sense of humor -has drug/alcohol problem -multi-dater -religious -has children -only asks superficial questions -talks about ex all the time -talks about all the women that are interested in him -conversation always turns to sex -won't use a condom -won't bend/compromise with schedule (ie, Saturday afternoon is always grocery shopping time) -talks about future our on the first few dates -doesn't like music this is my short list.
Eeyore79 Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 There are some turn-offs which I think apply to pretty much everyone; nobody wants to date someone who lies, sleeps around, takes drugs, has bad breath, is unemployed, is homophobic or otherwise prejudiced, etc. The turn-offs which are specific to me are: Smoking - yuck Lack of intelligence - I get frustrated if I can't communicate with a guy on the same intellectual level Religion - goes hand in hand with the previous point; an unscientific man is not for me Kids - I want my own, not someone else's Bad in bed - this has ruined a number of otherwise ok relationships for me Not a dog lover - if a guy dislikes my doggy he's dumped, because Fido isn't going anywhere
yamanbt Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Dishonest Disrespectful I REALLY do not take kindly to being lied to, and I no longer tolerate disrespect.
