I remember I once posted about Magiano's little italy being a nice place and you bashed me about how it was a cheap mall chain. It IS a cheap mall chain, at least in California...? It's like...Chevy's or Chili's...? I won't knock it, I occasionally eat at those places too...but usually with friends, not dates. Dates usually get something more original and unique. Usually family owned. Like what the OP is looking for. But the issue here in this thread for me (if you read anything I said) isn't about the restaurants but the part of town he's taking her to. I think he should drive a bit farther and meet her closer to where she lives so that they have a SAFER experience. But hey, there's nothing like dodging bullets together to bond a new couple!

But - here is the kicker - she said that if I find something more interesting she's up for it. Go for what she decides.
