Hey, thanks for the comments on my profile! I read yours, and saw your pics... so if we lived in the same town we should go out, lol, I am 37 and get carded at bars and get the student discount at movies without asking!!

 

Anyway about your profile:

I would take that out. That's something you find out after you start dating someone, and it does suggest baggage to me.

I would just put "A social person who has maintained friendships and is not shy."

 

Sorry, I'm a journalist. If you did not think it was important, you wouldn't have written it!

I think this sounds too "girly" for a guy's read. I don't know, maybe it's just me. I would put something like

 

"I'm independent. I value the freedom to be myself, and would like to meet someone who compliments that belief in their own life."

I would not put the 20 minutes. 20 minutes might be a long time to a guy who's out the door in 5 or 10.

 

I would write:

"I'm low maintenance, and as you can tell from my photos, I don't need a lot of make-up to look good."

 

"I run like a girl, I throw a ball like a girl, and I drink like a girl. Cuz I'm a girl! "

 

I don't know that I would put this. What are you trying to say? That you can't play sports well? We know you're a girl. I would leave that out.

 

"My job keeps me busy and can be very demanding on my time and unpredictable as well, but I love it since it's very fulfilling for me. My two teenage boys keep me busy too, they're great kids. Well, I'm their mom what would you expect me to say? "

 

Leave out the last sentence. Who knows. Some Moms might say their kids are crap. It's kind of a useless sentence.

I would leave out the "pee your pants" line, even if it's not your words, you are using them, it just doesn't seem that appropriate. But if it's ok with you, something you would say normally, then by all means leave it in!

 

Just my comments! Take it or leave it!! I think you will do well in any case. Many men don't even read what is written (sad, I know) they just flip through the pics and skim at best. You will do great!

 

Agree with what the previous poster said though. Separated is big on my NO list. Once your divorce is complete you will get even more replies! So things are looking up for you! Good luck!!

No problem curly glad to help out. Only you can decide on the characteristics/personality traits you look for in a SO. If having friends is that important to you by all means leave it in.
