It depends what's her style like. Is she more classy and conservative? or more stylish and edgy?

I would say Cartier (my own personal choice) because I love their style. It's more up to date. But I also know girls love saying "It's Tiffany's".

It's YOUR choice.

I say Cartier. more exclusive, more stylish. 4 prong setting much more modern and clean than a 6 prong.

but either way she'll love it (but I say go with Carhills' suggestion!)

Yup, I still vote Cartier. I really love 4-prongs on a round stone.

Note though, that none of those pictures are 1 carat. Those are much larger.

There is NO WAY the Tiffany picture is only 1.2. I call impossible. That looks like almost 2 carats to me.

1.5 on the Cartier seems about right for the first picture, but absolutely not the second. The second picture also looks like 2+ carats to me.
