No...by all means, join forces and discuss away if that's what you have a burning desire to do. I'm just not sure how healthy it is for Woggle - considering he did seem to have been making some headway in disentangling himself from negative thinking and various childhood issues.

Please don't interpret my discussing the viewpoints here as trying to project negativity to/on woggle. Woggle, It seems that you have had a very hard time with your Mother, I'm not trying to pry, but, we're here for ya.........

As opposed to the golden years of inequality against women.

Who says I ever agree to inequality against women? If women now do it to men, then, what have you (women) learned? Nothing.

I was trying to crack a mildly crude joke....but yes, the mods do award negative rep points and suspensions. Personally I think if they're going to do that, they should also award plus points or gold stars. Perhaps they detected a strongly masochistic element of the community and decided a punitive approach was more appropriate.

I actually found the list joke entertaining, I don't understand why anyone would be offended by that.

Oh well!

That's the reality I've experienced too...but I'm pretty sure it's not what these guys want to hear. From the sound of things, Sup would only be happy if we returned to 1692 and allowed him to brandish the Malleus Maleficarum righteously at burned/drowned female corpses.

Who says I have ever been against the rights of women? Now YOU are twisting my words around.

My name is norajane (sort-of), and I am a feminist. It's a pleasure to meet you.

I am not a misandrist. I do not think men should be lined up and shot at dawn. I do not believe men have no place in the family except as sperm doners and ATMs.

I do believe in equal rights and protection under the law. I do believe men and women need each other.

Please do not confuse me with women who misuse the term feminist to pursue their own fantatical agendas against men.

So, you're just a feminist who wants equal rights as men have had all these years, and not to supercede mens rights? Is that correct? If so, then there's nothing wrong with women having the same rights as men do, but when it comes to the point in which that men are to lose their rights, I feel then that there's a huge problem.

Oh dear.

It's just that there's a sorty of hysteria and phobia about feminism emanating from your posts that made me think of the witch-burning hysteria that took over in Europe a few hundred years ago.

Radical feminists have sometimes appeared ridiculous to me due to the absence of humour and the presence of ludicrously blown up persecution complexes. I'd say the same thing about your posts here...and it's certainly not really necessary for anyone to twist your words - everything about the way you've posted on this thread makes you look like a bit of a looper, to be honest.

Dang. Wish I knew what you were trying to say. There's just a bunch of asterisks on my display. Does anyone know what the asterisks are blocking out?

OMG!! NO, I know you didn't just say that......

What the hell is a looper?

I've been finding myself wondering about Porn Guy. Not in a sexual way, just in a "he settled in pretty swiftly for a new guy" sort of way.

Who are you, oh mysteriously-quick-to-get-your-feet-under-the-table Porn viewer? I don't think you're RossK, but I haven't completely ruled it out. Or alpha having a laugh??

I've noticed a few new names with familiar styles springing up. Am I the only person here who has only one user ID?

No, I have only one.

Just a bit....out there. Looping the loop at the fairground. Few people are completely calm and rational when they're stuck upside down in a little trailer, 100 feet or whatever it is from the ground. Hence....looper.

Hehe. But some men are feminists too.

How? From a sex change?!

Considering some of the stuff going on in the world these days, that's not the worst thing to be.

Ahh....gotcha;)

The whole thing was throwing me for a loop...so to speak.

You don't have to be personally discriminated against to consider it unpalatable.

That's tricky. I expect women and men to have equal rights and equal protections, yes. However, in some situations, men do have to lose a legal right in order for women to gain a legal right.

For example, it did not used to be a crime for a man to rape his wife in the US. States had rape laws, but there was a spousal exception. As recently as 2005, in Tennessee, it was not a crime for a husband to force his wife to have sex against her will unless he used a weapon, caused her serious bodily injury, or they were separated or divorcing.

Men had to lose that spousal exception in order for married women to gain equal protection under the law.

So, in some cases, yes, men have to lose a "right" in order for women to gain one. But that loss/gain makes them equal under the law. It doesn't mean women have more than men...unless you believe men should be excused for raping their wives - then, you'd see it as a women being treated more equally than men.

Feminists, are people who support feminism - equal rights and equal protection under the law. Men can support equal rights for women as well. Many men do.

The first section, well yeah, I know that's a little extreme, but I get the point. In the second section, oh, ok.

In the past, I've been penalized by the moderators for openly doubting someone's word. This guy says he's an 18-year-old porn addict. So as far as I'm concerned that's what he is.

JOHAN is correct

You can join me on the ducking stool if you like, Sup. Plenty of room for two.

Oh woggle, why do y ou start these threads and then run away?

Why do you keep insisting that your view of reality IS reality, even in the face of much evidence to the contrary?

I was just wondering. Idle mind and all that.

I've said it before. I'll say it again. Your attitude is not healthy. It's would be like me, having been raped and physically abused by men, insisting that all men are rapists and abusers. And I know that is simply not possible.

So how is it possible for you to know what is in the minds of all women, from a skewed perspective that you admittedly struggle against?

It's pretty obvious that they are only clinging to this because it makes them feel like their life has a special purpose.

Otherwise they would have admitted to themselves long ago how silly and paranoid it is to typecast all women as being weird freaks like their moms.

OK. They have mommie issues. Fine. Lots of people do. But ALL WOMEN are not your mommie. FEMINISTS are not your mommie. I know they won't agree to this because if they did, they would just be normal average guys with an awful childhood like other guys. But they must be special and different. They want to give their hatred a face, and rather than giving it the obvious one - the person who did this to them, they need to be "special" and get lots of attention by calling all women a bad name. Face it, if someone stood up in a room and declared that all women are ho bags, people would respond. And so they get sympathy and anger and people taking time out of their day to explain how women are not like that and ultmately, lots of attention.

I can only imagine that this is possibly because their mom didn't pay attention when they said or did something good, and only pay attention to them when they were doing something bad?
