Ok but there must be someone that comes into mind

Sandra Bullock has played a few geeky roles, Jodie Foster was in "Silence of the Lambs."

a little bit heavier now a days but essentially you are correct. I would point you to my MySpace site but I don't have one :lmao:

I don't think geeky chicks hang out on MySpace, but I could be wrong.

High school all over again, if you ask me.

and alpha is not 300lbs; even though he's not, what a rude, pointless thing to say.

***no, this is not a closet fattie. i just saw so much of this unfunny crap today and it got to me.

Where do I apply to join the geeky girls club?!?

I wear glasses. Does that count anything? :lmao:

A little shy, just enough to be charming,

clean faced,

well read,

intelligent, and not afraid to show it,

curious,

goofy sense of humor,

nothing fake,

great conversationalists,

great friends...

Does being a web-developer count as geeky?

I'm not shy. Probably too much the other way.

I'm not 'clean-faced' - I look really scary without make-up.

I'm pretty well-read.

I like to think I'm intelligent, but it's subjective and depends on how you define it.

I'm definitely curious, although it's probably more accurate to describe it, in my case, as nosey.

I have no sense of humour whatsoever.

Nothing fake - but I'd love to my boobs 'lifted' - gravity is no longer my friend.

I like to have conversations, but not sure if I'm great at them.

Yes! I have great friends :D

"A certain poster should pick "e^x" as a handle since he is apparently unable to integrate himself on LS" definately qualifies you, any signature that would confuse Alphamale.;):lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Might, especially if you do it in vi. :p

To be honest Ripples, you strike me a a sweet lady, but not geeky.

Vi - hmph

Coldfusion, AS2.0, XML, Java, Javascript - do they count? :(

Sweet???? Sweet????

I wear glasses for driving too?

Definately to show you're intelligent and an organized thinker.

Sweet???? Sweet????

Can't put my finger on it, you just don't strike me as geeky. You might if we met in person though. A key to it is a goofy sense of humor, and there's nothing goofy about you. By "sweet" I mean you're a nice person and don't strike me as manipulative.

Notes to all: I'm not saying non-geeky ladies aren't attractive, or are bad in any way. Simply saying I find "geeky" to be charming. I might say blue eyes (like Ripples) are beautiful, but that doesn't mean brown eyes can't be pretty too.

Make-up: A face with make-up might look prettier, but no make-up looks much more kissable. Ever tasted the stuff?

Nerdy women are the best kept secrets. They are some of the best partners you can find and they usually have a great personality as well. My wife is a nerd and I don't mean that in a bad way either. I think that men sometimes get burned because we look for all the wrong things in a woman. Guys complain about women not wanting nice guys but often times the best women get passed up for some woman that looks like she bought all her body parts.

Does mascara count? Other than that I don't wear make-up.. :D But I'm not particularly shy... and I don't think even working in tech support qualifies me as a nerd...!!

Also, assuming that all geeky people are intelligent is a common mistake.

These 10 things do not neccessarily come together. :p

Couldn't agree more!

These 10 things do not neccessarily come together. :p

Also agree, but it's great when they do. :) And geeky doesn't necessarily mean science/engineering/IT/etc. either...

I'm pretty geeky.

Although I do a lot of really un-geeky things like burlesque dancing, and swimsuit modelling :p

But when I am not trolling around with a microphone in my hand I would much prefer to be doing what I am doing tonight... curled up in bed with The Globalization of Word Politics: An Introuction to International Relations.

I do geeky things and I was a nerd in highschool, never letting my love of fashion get in the way of finishing in the top of my grade

... and I love Electronic Battleships :o

I couldn't date a man who didn't want to play that with me :lmao:

i saw a discussion on how to properly use nerd, dork, and geek, but i can't find it...i don't know if it was here or not...

but it's out there somewhere, if i had time right now i'd post the definitions but i'm sure you're all nerdy, dorky, or geeky enough to find an online dictionary yourselves!

me too.

Saw a license plate once:

"I 01000101" ;)

(Virginia DMV probably wouldn't have allowed it if they knew binary.)

Or does intelligence automatically keep a lady from being a "hottie" in your mind?

most of the time s_g...but once in a great while you will meet a stunner who is also a rhodes scholar. It's rare, however.

yes...

"I E"?

I have realized that no one needs to actually "know" anything any more... not as long as google and yahoo stay in business.

You know you're a geek when $ doesn't mean dollars.

I agree with Alpha in a generalized sense. Obviously not always the case, but generally speaking.

I think "less than hot" women had to develop other attributes. Wheras "hot" women, could get by on their looks to get their way.

I've had to bust ass to get ahead of a hot girl... sometimes with wit, sometimes with stronger capabilities, sometimes with sheer determination... but I've seen girls who have really slacked off on their personal development simply because the inner them was not as valued as the outter them.

yep WALK...for a female, good looks will take her far. She can move into a higher socio-economic strata by marrying well, she is adored by men, she can get men to do almost anything. She can model, become an actress, do pornos and playboy. The world is her oyster...until she hits 35.

hahahahaha, i'm sorry, 'bust ass' around here means fart, so i had to do a doubletake.

Most "hot" women that I had to deal with have been high maintenance, insecure, untrusting, and a downright bytch. Its just a shame that many guys fall for these type of women and for what? Having a trophy GF or wife, just to get acceptance by others.

woohoo 4 more years, better live it up while i'm now single and can... I got valet elevator service this morning, i wonder what tomorrow will bring lol

Your definition of "stunner" is different from mine. I was stunned the other day when a lady knew James Earl Jones as the Darth Vader voice.:p

I actually find it insulting when a woman acts like she should get special treatment for her looks. She thinks I'm shallow?

Not "I E", convert that octet fron binary to decimal (much more interesting than the ASCII.) :bunny:

good for them. real women, who can still be "hot" even if not stereo-typically, don't want that kind of cheesy guy. it doesn't mean he's got the best, it just means he can't get any better. and obviously, neither can she.

there's a reason you see those miami vice type guys with classic bimbos, and i guess it's good they stick with each other. no one should be lonely.
