maybe they just happen to find something attractive about the "down" personality that their pretty girl lacks. or maybe they, in some cases, find something else just as attractive as they find in their pretty girlfriend, but in different ways.

or maybe they are blind-effing-drunk at the time. who knows?

Yeah like willing to blow them in a bar bathroom in exchange for a draft beer! :p:D

Don't you know!!!

There is no such thing as a attractive woman who is also kind and considerate and caring..... sheesh.... good looking people are all evil. :lmao:

All women are biotches , did you not know that .It only takes the miniscule amount of time for them to peg us.

What's the definition of kind? Someone who chases after other women's boyfriends? I guess that could be described as kind insofar as it often involves pampering needy egos.

Nice one Lindya... good point. :D

So weve all come to the agreement that ugly women are needy ego feeding biotches? Thats so sad . Men suck , wemon suck .Youve just got to find one that sucks well. Maybe ugly women give better head. That would be a good thread

."Men , do ugly women give better head than pretty women? Good points bad points?"

I don't want to stereotype, but in general "average" looking ladies are the most fun. The exceptionally pretty ones will frequently act like their looks alone are all they need, and the unattractive ones are frequently too insecure to just relax and have fun.

(Again, speaking in general terms and just from personal experience. Get the claws back in.) :o

sorry to interupt the bitch fest but not all men who cheat, cheat down.

I find it utterly absurd. Incredulous is the best word I can use to describe it.

I remember saying, for God's sake, I wouldn't be insulted on top of being hurt, if you had picked a woman who was prettier, more upwardly mobile, who had a nicer house, who was more "together".....

Unfortunately, this has never, ever, ever been the case. For me, at least.

And none of the men who slummed on me had "relationships" with the females in question. Unless you call meeting up to drink and late night hook ups a relationship.

as you may have noticed, that was the specific situation that this thread title indicated the conversation should be steered towards.

This should have been in the watercooler section so none of the uber sensitive OW forum subscribers would take this personally and get defensive.

I'm just saying.

Well of course not..... but the question posed is why do men cheat down?

If they are going to......why not cheat up :lmao:

i can't really believe that anyone would really feel better to discover that their spouse cheated on them with a much more attractive woman.

No, let's not generalise. That label only applies to the woman that ex I mentioned cheated on me with.

hey i am not taking it personally at all. i found it quite amusing, but i just wanted to remind you, that its not always the case.

Men aren't the only ones who cheat down. Women are guilty of that too.

Well at least it would seem more reasonable.....

Pitt dumped Aniston for Jolie right? now if he started cheating on Jolie with Kathy Bates..... well ya just go..... wtf? :lmao:

Not me...... I don't cheat :D

However I am very shallow so there is no way in hell I would cheat down if I were a cheater! :D

From a man's point of view, though I have never cheated nor plan to cheat, I would imagine it is very much the respect thing - that is lack of respect. As in I just want to have my lance waxed and move on. I want it fast and easy and free. Why not hook up with the ugly drunk bitch?

i see, well i suppose that quite often men who cheat, just want to have sex with another woman. sometimes all they can get are the fuglies, sometimes they are just luckier. i think that somebody else said this somewhere, but probably men who are not looking to cheat get picked up by more assertive or overtly sexual women, whereas men who are choosing to and doing the chasing are going to go for the more attractive ones.

If "more attractive" means "looking better", perhaps men ain't as superficial as we tend to believe.

If it is not only a matter of looks, well, what is attractive to one might be not attractive to someone else. and vice-versa.

Everybody has his own preferences - take flies, they are so fond of sh*t.

But would you keep going back to get your knob polished or get grossed out eventually? :D

All things considered, I doubt it. How much higher spiritual connection can you really have when you meet someone at a bar, when you're drunk, and all your interactions are limited to interactions that occur while inebriated?

give me a break.

You're right. Men aren't as superficial as most women think. And looks are very subjective. For example, I'd call taking Jolie over Aniston a definate trade down.
