Agent M Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I was seeing a guy (22) for about 5 months and I am 45. I told him I wanted to take a break because things just hadn't been fun lately and that things were dry and flat. He seemed disappointed and chased me for 8 days until I relented and let him come see me. When he arrived, he ran upstairs to use the bathroom, was all flushed in the face, yelled downstairs to have me join him, told me he had to leave early, pulled the remote out of my hands when I tried to find something for us to watch that he had earlier suggested, couldn't keep an erection, and then wanted to leave after 15 minutes. When I started a conversation with him about how odd this behavior was he tried to make excuses. I was not mad but was concerned. Four days later he broke up with me and was very heartfelt about it but said he wasn't in the space of his mind to continue and that I was in the way of his path and goals and accomplishments but he was also very complimentary of our time together and how much it had meant to him. He also told me several times (as I kept asking) that he did not want to be friends and that by doing so he would not be able to move on. When I saw him out after that he would be trying to get my attention but I ignored him. He then reached back out to me by text and I yelled at him and we had a big falling out. But what explains the very strange encounter at my house after I called a break for 8 days? Thanks. TL;DR: After I suggested a break because our time together had become less enjoyable,he pursued for 8 days. When we finally met, he arrived visibly agitated, immediately wanted to leave, and ended things four days later. What might explain this sudden change? Quote

Nobody here will be able to tell you that, really. Maybe someone else he's been seeing messaged or called him and wanted to see him so he bolted out of your place. Either way, this situation sounds like a dead-end so I would not have any further contact with him. I'm your age and can't imagine what I'd have in common with a 22-year-old anyway. Time to close this door. 1 Quote
ShyViolet Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago How are we supposed to know what his strange behavior was about? We would only be guessing. In any case it doesn't matter now. He broke up with you. Move on. Also it's strange that you would date a guy more than 20 years younger than you. Quote
