Hlebushek Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago My cousin and I are both adults, and we’ve been joking/talking about starting a very unusual “family business” together. The idea is to create adult content together and eventually use the money to open our own car workshop/garage. We even thought about making the whole thing a brand, basically combining the family aspect with cars and the obvious double meaning. We’re cousins, not siblings, and there haven’t been any close-relative relationships or marriages in our family before us. We don't plan on having children and will be careful. I’m genuinely curious how people would react to something like this. Would you find it completely insane, just unconventional, or would you simply see it as two consenting adults making their own decisions? And if you were in our situation, would the potential money/business opportunity outweigh the possible stigma and consequences? I’m especially interested in hearing honest opinions rather than people just saying “that’s weird.” What would actually bother you about it, if anything? Quote
Alpacalia Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Content never really comes down once it's out there. Years from now, a garage customer, a landlord, a bank or your future partner can find it, and you can't undo it. Your parents and the rest of the family may also find out, and one of you could be much less okay with that than the other. I'd also be wary of mixing money, sex and family in one business. If one of you wants out, whether that's because of a new partner, a change of heart, or a falling out over money, you'd lose the content income, the friendship and the family tie all at once. On the money, it's worth checking that this can actually pay for a garage. Most adult creators earn very little, and a lot of platforms and payment processors ban content that presents performers as relatives, even real ones. You'd also be starting the garage with the whole thing attached to your name. Quote
