I've been in a relationship for more than 10 years, we have kids. We divorced 3 years ago and since then I suffered depression and anxiety.

After the break up I've dated a couple of girls. With one of them things were good, she was a perfect match...but I couldn't open my heart completely and I had to leave.

Since my divorce I feel like I don't have a purpose anymore and any relationship seems pointless. Like... Kids, marriage... Done that, won't do it again. I know...relationships are not about marriage and kids, but I feel like I don't have anything else to offer now.

Relationship scares me, but at the same time I crave one. I'm stuck in a loop, and I don't know what to do.

I hate my life, my job, my place. And I hate myself.

Everyone has their own timeline for when they are able to accept another after a death, divorce, etc.....

Have you tried counseling or therapy to help you try to come to terms with your feelings so you can move on?

Relationships after children is more about companionship and caring for one another.

how long did the post marriage relationship last?

how hard on you was the divorce? Did you see it coming before it happened or was it a surprise?

If you are seeing a therapist, and you are coming here for advice...you may need to consider a new therapist. The way you are talking shows you are still struggling with your depression. No advice here is really going to give you much of a change in the way you perceive things. Please contact your doctor and explain that the therapy you are receiving isn't working or giving you the results you need. I am so sorry you are having these feelings, it must be hard. Take care of yourself.
