Don't know if a coworker is hitting on me or just joking

Hello all.

There's a girl at work that does certain remarks on my appearance every chance she gets, and I even think she takes photos of me with her phone when I'm around but looking other way or she just pretends to do it to get a reaction/interaction from me.

Thing is, she acts so over the top about all of this, that is hard for me to know if she actually means any of these things she says and does or if she is just joking, in general it is really hard to take her seriously on anything because she is always joking as if she was a stand up comedian, I already had a bad situation with her (related to work) where I thought she was joking but actually she wasn't.

How can I talk to her about this bothering me without causing too much fuss? Usually her way of behaving is very dominant/noisy, and I fear she might accuse me of claiming she's doing something she's actually not.

She has been working here longer than I have and has more trust for the bosses, she is the head of a department I don't belong to.

Or should I just let it go/take it less seriously? Do something else instead of confronting her?

Ask her why is she taking pictures of you.  Why haven't you done that yet?
