At least now there is a chance to reconcile. I believe that this is beneficial regardless of the outcome. OP gets to voice how much she's been hurt. OP and husband get to connect on a deeper emotional level. And either they can move past this and rebuild the marriage better than it was, or they can break up with the knowledge that they gave it their best. There's also value in that.
