Especially since your boyfriend was recently engaged himself and that ended. I myself tend to compare myself to people I know who have been dating less time then my boyfriend and I (4 years) and have then gotten engaged. I have to check myself with this. I had a bad marriage and divorce so taking my time is super important. Marriage is not something to be taken lightly or rushed into. That all being said...you guys have known each other such a short time. I know it's hard to stop thinking about marriage/engagement given his daughter's engagement but try your best to keep the focus on her and not the two of you. If you need help just keep reminding yourself that you are still getting to know this man you are with. Who knows how you'll feel 6 months from now, or a year from now. It would be amazing if you felt the same and everything worked out, but best not to be putting that kind of pressure on yourself!
