After all....he said we were friends. So...we can travel, as friends. As buddies. No different than going somewhere with any other friend, male or female. 

If we truly are friends, there shouldn't be a problem. 

 

As to the second part, just a reminder that HE asked ME the question. It's not like this is something I actively brought up with him, nor that I enjoyed discussing in depth. I suppose I could have answered, "None of your business" and changed the subject. 

But, I was just so caught off guard.
