They were formed based on what and how you said it, combined with people's own experiences and knowledge about people's behaviour. It confuses you because you do not let yourself discover the truth. There's only what you want to believe in and bunch of strangers that tell you what they think and you finding an explanation for everything they say..

Its not that. The part im struggling with is OW part. I dont understand how i can be the OW if they arent together? I thought to be the OW that meant the man was in a relationship with the other person? But hes not. Thats why i dont understand

BUT he was in a relationship when you first started.

His fiance and his kids are seen as his core relationship and you are thus the OW.

You will likely always be seen as the OW.

People get married and have kids and she may still be seen as his OW...

Many people do not like cheating and OWs tend to get the brunt of the ire.

She was the nasty devious "person" that lured him away, broke his wife's heart and ruined his kids lives...

if it wasn't for her...

..is often the narrative.

Well that's because we think that emotionally he is not really in a relationship with you or at least not as emotionally involved as he is with her. You look at it as black & white. If "officially" he is with you than you can't be OW. It's not always like that. People with much more experience told you how his actions and lack there of make you seem like OW... It's not about the label. It's about you noticing how he treats you
