We were talking about his work day and out of the blue he said "I do love you." He went on to say that he had felt that way about me as well but I caught him off guard by saying it as he wasn't expecting to hear it at that time. I think this is completely valid. Posters on here who say to dump him because he's not on the same page at the same time have unrealistic expectations. Flip it around. What if he said it first and you weren't there yet. Would you expect him to dump you? He sounded honest from what you posted. There may be other timeline inconsistencies like moving in or marriage. If it's supposed to be forever, what's the harm in waiting until the other person catches up? But glad it worked out for you. 1 Link to post Share on other sites
