You shouldn't go because regardless of your overt reasons for going ("I'm really close with her family"), your covert reason for going ("I still have feelings for my ex") is what's really nudging you to attend. Subconsciously, you think if you attend this gathering and have a wonderful time with your ex's family, it will stir up old feelings in your ex and it may help facilitate a reunion between you two. This girl is your ex and you're crossing some major boundaries here. Stop trying to insert yourself back into her life. This isn't just about visiting her family, and you know that. Let. Her.
