It seems for the moment you are choosing to reduce your options by avoiding doctors. That's fine but by doing so you are putting yourself in this situation for longer than might be necessary. I agree hormone issues can be tricky and many doctors are not the best in that regard but the beauty of growing up in the www era is that you can research forums that deal with your condition and find what doctors and treatments worked well for others.

I realise you have a condition that will have an effect on your dating life but it sounds like hardly to any extent are you going be the outcast. You really haven't tested the waters yet to know for sure. Put yourself out there to begin with and find out before fearing the worst and hoping for a cure in x yrs time.

Are all the women on pcos forums single or did they say they had to lower their options and only date ugly guys?

I research about PCOS treatments and other ways to solve this issue all the time online. Many have said to not go on pills since they don't really work and just cause side effects. Adding more hormones and pills into your body is not the answer and that's all doctors want you to do. Many people swear by natural approaches and over the counter supplements. Losing weight is a big help and reducing sugar. PCOS is a complex conditon that medicine doesn't always fix. I have been starting to use natural treaments and they seem to have worked at least a little; things take time.

If it wasn't for the internet I wouldn't have found these natural treatments.

Yea, I agree I don't think I should be viewed as an outcast and it shouldn't be a huge problem that would hinder me dating. However, guys seem so picky and have high standards. It's like the littlest thing they dump girls over. The other PCOS girls are married and dating guys. I don't know what they look like though or how bad their condition is. I guess I won't know until I give it a try and put myself out there. Thanks again for your advice; I appreciate it.
