Anyone here though some cliche's are just that, cliche's on dating profiles, but can you name a few that are somewhat off-putting? Usually its the stating of the obvious formats.

I can list some

(No offense to single parents) "My kids are my world" That's pretty much stating the obvious.

"Love to laugh" or "Life's too short to sweat the small stuff."

"Cheaters, players, posers, tired of games" all fall under the same wheelhouse and is highly overdone, esp. off putting after at first you USED to nod your head in agreement, "Yeah, I'm sick of the game players, cheaters, posers" etc...so I'll email her...even sympathize with her plight!"

Then after emailing these people they don't respond, they never even give you an opportunity to portray the non-cheatin', non-game playing person you really are. That's the point where you feel like, 'Okay, I'm tired of seeing this!" LOL This is probably the most said thing in online dating most likely.

Anyone else have anything to add that's off putting that's said repeatedly in online dating profiles? :)

One cliché that I don't think was covered in similar threads on this topic is the one that looks like this: "I've been on here before" or "This is my 4th time on here" or "Here I am again". I'm not sure what that information is supposed to convey. Who is it meant to attract? or scare off? Sometimes this is the only thing in the profile.
