24 yr old and hair loss

Recommended Posts

has anyone used rogaine and is it permanent and if not how long does it last. i am 24 yr old male, and i am noticing very little some loss in the frontal area. i also today went to a hair doctor and he said i will be balding soon-the doc did seem like a little weird-very monotonal boring voice and kept staring at me -just weird . oh well but my real answer for this post is anyone used hair growth products liek rogaine. should i start using it. do u use it when u completely bald or just starting to get a little bald. which one. do ui need to see a family doc before using these products.

oh yea does rogaine work and how effective is it.

has anyone here tried propecia and how effective is it. is it permament or do u have to keep using it.

there are a lot of products out there for thinning hair but all $$$$. getting a hair piece is proabably the cheapest. only 250 bucks andits permament.

anyone here using nizoral shampoo i heard it gets rid of dandruff and also stimulates hair growth b/c it cleans the folliucles anyone now of it. the niz shampoo probably the cheapestanyone now of cheaper solutions to combat my hair loss problem, i don;t want to be bald

I dont know anyone that has tried rogain or propecia but I know a few guys that just said to hell with it and shaved their heads. I will tell ya they look a lot sexier now they shaved their heads versus fighting it and needing to do a comb over in 25 years.

Hm, that´s strange, you might have a disease or something, because as far as I know Asian men usually don´t have the problem of genetical hair loss.

Here's my 2 cents....

i really don't think being Asian has anything to do with it ot Not

with it. It just happens plain and simple.

I'm in my late 20's and I'm noticing that It's happening to me.

My hair is starting to get thin on top, only on top. It sucks.

I've done studying and research and tried looking at all options..

And I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to fight it. I'm just

gonna take what nature has given me and just wear Hats or Beanies

all the time, once it fully goes....

Reason being, I don't want to have to apply rogaine to my head every single

day for years and years or until I'm comfortable with the fact that i'm

really bald, but fighting it with drugs in a Half-A$$ way.

Beacause Rogaine WON't restore your hair completely. It only brings back

a little bit of what you had. I've also read that when you start taking it..for the

first couple of weeks/months, It actually makes you lose some of the hair you

have.

And you have to apply it everyday for the rest of your life... think about

how much of a hassle and how much money you'll spend and how you'll

always be worrying about if it's working or not working or what if You might have to

miss a day or forget a day to apply it.

It sucks, It sucks bad and I was majorly depressed about it a few months back, but you

know what, Once it's out and everyone knows you're bald and You Shave your head

and you find other things to improve on your body, It won't even matter. Take care

of the rest of your body, get in perfect shape, look good and it won't

even matter to anyone that youre bald. find a cool stylish hat.

That's what i'm gonna do anyway.

Take care. Good luck

Well, Asian men in general don´t have a lot of hair on their chest and that´s a fact. And losing hair is as far as I know also not common, that´s why I told him to check with a doctor first.

Don't waste your money on Rogain, it only works for the balding in the back center of your head. I only know cuz I worked in the medical field. Search for something else.

I used both...

Rogaine gave me serious scalp irritation, but I did see results before I decided to discontinue. However, the burning and itching just wasn't worth it.

Propecia didn't work at all... four months of nada, but they gave it to me for virtually nothing, so why complain.

The most effective treatment is grafting, but that's expensive and the average guy will need three of them during his lifetime if he wishes to maintain a healthy hairline. That's because he may start losing in other places later on. Male pattern baldness is bad enough for most guys, but it's much worse if it looks unnatural. Take a look at Houston Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy, for example. I read an interview with a hair specialist who swears that Van Gundy had a graft back in the day, given how bad his hair looks now. I believe it.

I decided to use clippers, but I have a nice shape to my head and the ladies seem to like it so I'm cool. Would rather have hair, but not to the point of paying mucho dinero for an invasive procedure. But that's just me.
