Zebedee Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I am travelling at the moment in South America. Over a month ago, I met a really great guy. We got on so well and developed really strong feelings for each other over a very short space of time. Everything was comfortable and I could talk to him about anything. That is not normal for me, I'm not the overly-romantic type. I got a little scared by this and backed off a bit. Just because I wanted to understand what was happening. Anyway, we had to split as our itineraries were different, but we agreed to meet up at a later date. We met up a week ago. We still have strong feelings for each other, but it feels impossible at the moment as I have to leave to go home in a few days. I think he wants someone who can be there for him at the moment. I feel sad that I can't be that person right now, but could have been in the future. I think there is a local girl who is interested in him, and he is looking to work in South America for a few months. She had already said that she has plans to move to Europe later. When we said goodbye, he said he wanted to keep in touch as he thinks I'm a really special person. He hugged me really tight, kissed me on the head and then looked like he was going to cry as I took the taxi. My heart is breaking. I don't know what to do.
HeartbrokenNewbie Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Because you love him!! lol x sounds like he might well feel the same too x
J21 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Seems like the right person at the wrong time. Didn't work in my experience, but hope you have better luck.
DArtagnan2 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 If neither of you think this can work right now because of the distance and whatnot, then you have to let it go but you can remain friends. You never know what the future will hold.
