nofeelings22 Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 You were raped? I am so sorry. The more JaneDoe posts, the more I can see she's awesome. The courage to jump right into these discussions and go toe to toe on a subject she has first hand experience with. The sound reasoning and her considering both sides of the debate. I'm impressed. 2
janedoe67 Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I'm really not all that awesome. I have made enough messes to make a whole batch of lifetimme movies, I am emotional too often, and I am stibborn as heck....but I'm trying. But thank you. 4
William Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Members, let's stay focused on the topic in this thread, which is regarding apparent infidelity while drunk and the parameters of a drunken mistake. Discussions of other threads, or other members, are not topical to this thread and will be sanctioned and deleted. Thanks!
alwayshere Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Infidelity comes down to entitlement, arrogance, and lack of ethics. Rape, OTOH, is a crime, even if the victim makes less than perfect choices beforehand. Not remembering does nor automatically constitute rape. However, when assessing consent, a smart person will consider tge LEGAL definition instead of just going with what they deem fair game in the moment. A sign of arepentant cheater iswhen they will own THEIR wrong even if they were drunk. Actually, the sign of good character in general is when one is willing to set aside arrogance, consider that they may in fact bewrong, and be willing to CHANGE it. Sadly, it isn't always just cheaters who lack that capacity
