kjackson1 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I dated my ex for over two years and she broke up with 8 months ago. At first I attempted to get her back but after a while I was tired of the wishy washy behavior. I have been solid no contact for 5 months now besides a call or two for a phone bill. For the last month or so I have been receiving random texts from my ex saying she misses me so much and I have been on her mind. I was invited to a super bowl party a few weeks ago by my best friend and my ex was supposed to go as well. She ended up not going and my friends wife showed me a text saying she couldn't go because she still had feelings for me and it wouldn't be a good idea to go. The last text I received from my ex she said she couldn't believe we have been broken up for almost a year and she was certain we were going to work it out at some point. I haven't responded to any of her text messages and I'm no longer upset over what happened between us. Is this just breadcrumbs? Her behavior seems really strange to me. Any advice appreciated.

A Mixture of breadcrumbs, her wanting an ego-boost by seeing if you are still hooked on her, her wanting to relieve her guilt by checking to see you are not mad at her and her satisfying her curiosity about how you are. if she wanted you back she would tell you, and she hasnt so it is meaningless. keep ignoring.

Well.. if you feel strong enough you could suggest to meet with her and give it another go. If she gives you a bs answer along the lines of "I'm not ready" or "You're too good for me" (you got the idea), there you'll have it. You'll just send her into limbo and move on without regrets. 4

This seems like a good idea if I decide to initiate contact. Not sure if it's worth it though if these are just breadcrumbs.
Chi townD Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Yeah, these are and aren't the typical breadcrumbs someone gets. Seems like she's dancing around trying to broach the subject of getting back with you. Sounds like she wants to get you talking about it. If you break NC, I strongly suggest you get to the meat and potatoes. Find out what her intentions are. If it's to friend zone you, then BYE!!!! Back to NC. 1
