Here's mine... she told me she didn't want us to collide because we were both somewhat damaged in a way and if we got together we would explode.....well.. we exploded..

I remember one day we were webcaming, she looked sad and I had post-it notes. I drew words and pictures to try and cheer her up and had this song playing and i kept on drawing until the song was over.. she was really happy.

The song I dedicated to him was Thousand Years - by Christina Perri - because that's how I felt and to some extent still do.

The last song I dedicated to him (he always like to know what songs make me think of him)

Last Love Song - ZZ Ward

The song I dedicated to him was Gotta Be Somebody by Nickelback.

Oddly enough I can listen to it now without feeling sad. It still reminds me of him, but it doesn't hurt to hear it. It's once again one of my favourite songs. Took me years to be able to listen to the song I dedicated to my first boyfriend, You Had Me At Hello by A Day To Remember.

I think this is progress. :)

There are a few songs from the months we were together. None of them really remind me of HER, but just of the time together.

Sleeping With a Friend---Neon Trees

Everything Has Changed---Taylor Swift

He always claimed our song was "Linger" by the Cranberries.

However, it seemed more appropriate for how I felt during our break up.

I don't think it matters so much now, more importantly now :-

I retired this one with my divorce but it still holds special memories since we heard it and shared it up close and personal on three continents:

Probably the most memorable was in Perth, WA since Keith and Nicole were newlyweds and it was Keith's first major tour in Oz. I recall my exW holding up a big poster she made stating '1 car ride, 5 airports, 9287 miles to 'Be Here' (album the song is from). At that time, she certainly was 'My Better Half'. It was funny with all the Aussies looking at us like aliens since we were probably the only Americans in the audience and were on our feet as is normal at his concerts and Aussies were very 'traditional' in WA and generally stay seated. Great memories, not sad at all. Life is to be lived :)
