Ok well a few days ago this guy approaches me at university. He asked about my ethnicity and he started off asking me general stuff like that since we are from the same race. He asked my name and what i am studying things like that. Anyways pretty much straight away he told me there was a disco/club event the next night and he said I should go. Well I let him know that I don't actually really go to many of those thinga and he then kinda changed subject asked me about other stuff. After about 10-15 mins he said if I wanted to go get some lunch and I simply said that I had just ate (which was true) and that I had to had tp go work on an assignment which was due soon (also true). . I just kind of said 'but I will see you around ok' and we got up to leave and we hugged bye. My question is, do guys invite girls to lunch as friends too? should I have apologised for not being able to go? Should I have told him that maybe another time?

I mean, I am not experienced much to know when something is a kind of date or just a get together. How do I know if guys assume something more?

Thanks for any advice...

Always assume the guy wants more than to just be your friend.

Try to guess how much guys want sex. Then take that feeling and multiply it by 100.

definitely say there is an ulterior motive going on there.
