Armegoggon Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Ok so I met a woman on a Facebook Group at some point last December. We didn't talk a lot until over the past week. Well she sent me the friend request and I accepted it. I also googled up her name and it did show up in the suggestions. She is really talented at karate and teaches it well. We also have a lot in common in general. We would normally interact once in a while by liking or commenting on our posts. Recently, I saw her status and she was feeling lonely. Then she started messaging me. We had a chat for a while and that was when we found out we had quite a bit in common. I like what she teaches too and I wish I could try a little karate. Then I asked her if she was single or not and she told me that she is single. She may have a son but she told me her ex-BF cheated on her (probably had sex then left without the baby). I finally asked her about her age and she told me she's 35. I know I'm only 19 (soon), but I don't mind the age difference. She also finds me sweet and caring and tender. However, the biggest issue is the geographic reason. She lives all the way down in New Jersey, but I live in Toronto. Yes that's long but by a plane it's not that long. It still shares EST time though. I was depressed the other day and I said "I wish we could meet". Then she said "me too"! So apparently, what's being said from her is only because of geographic problems. I also asked her if she's travelling anytime soon but she isn't. She has never even visited Canada. I have visited parts of New York state before (NY, Buffalo). So what should my next move be? Should I really devote myself to finding her in real life? We like each other but for both of us, we have problems finding a date. Plus she could be a good workout partner for me. She's also good looking.
Assasda Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Cant tell you how to live your life man. Anyway, you guys dont seem to have a lot to go on. Because, you havent mentioned anything about phone conversations. It all seems too shallow, but go with your gut

Because, you havent mentioned anything about phone conversations. It all seems too shallow, but go with your gut We have never exchanged phone numbers. I use a dumbphone so probably won't work to call outside Canada. Why should we really call each other first? I mean I just feel it's a long step to take from friendship to dating. Even she admits to feeling lonely like me. Btw, she is in New Jersey (Pitman I think?) and I'm in Toronto.
