Armegoggon Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Is there any dating site that is meant for people who are the following? - aged 16-30s - never dated anybody before - usually unpopular - usually having less friends and not often hanging out with them Are there any dating sites that are designed for that? I'm not saying that all are the requirements here but I'm asking if there are dating sites that use these trends and have most of the members like this.
Mrin Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 World of Warcraft In all seriousness, I don't know of one. But here is the thing about OLD. We are all the same. We are just profiles drifting in the bianary wind longing for someone to catch us. We have no history. We have no standing. We have no social circles. Just a bunch of words and some pics. All can be born and reborn. OLD is not a solution for lonely hearts. It is simply a *sometimes* efficient way of breaking the ice. It is what you do after the ice is broken that matters. Not to wax too philosophical but if you were said person, would you want to meet someone just like you? Or perhaps would you want to meet someone more experienced in love that can share their experience with you and can deeply appreciate your relative lack of experience? Sometimes, opposites attract... Fire up an OKCupid or a Tinder profile and find out. 2

I'd say eHarmony for their personality / matching process but it still just comes down to physical attraction, regardless of the website.
Gaeta Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 If I were you before trying online dating I would give a try to one of those websites that organize activities with singles. You have all kinds of activities, you can join a group for dinners, movies, hiking, etc. I feel that would help you with socializing first.

You have all kinds of activities, you can join a group for dinners, movies, hiking, etc. I feel that would help you with socializing first. I've tried online dating sites before but they never really worked. I've come oh so close to meeting a hot 26 year old woman with a big 92% match but just missed because of my age. I know I'm only 18 but socializing seems a little hard for me. I'd say eHarmony for their personality / matching process but it still just comes down to physical attraction, regardless of the website. Doesn't eHarmony require paying? Michelle ma Belle Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Listen. All dating sites are basically the same. I've tried several of the more popular dating sites from eHarmony to Christian Singles to OKCupid and everything in between. They are ALL the same and none of them offer up any guarantees of anything least of all a perfect match. If you're looking for a FREE OLD site that is fairly casual and popular, Plenty of Fish is a good one. They also put on social events and have an online forum which, in my humble opinion, adds another layer of opportunity. The site is known to be more of a hook-up site (but then again, aren't they all these days) BUT I've known many people who met and dated some pretty great people. Other than that, Mrin joked about World of Warcraft but there is something to be said about joining some kind of online site or forum where you meet people with common interests. That's where I met my current partner. Originally we had no intention of meeting or dating but one thing led to another and VOILA! Good luck.
jaycee1 Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Actually gaming sites might be best place for you to learn to socialize a bit and gain more confidence. That's that helped me when I decided to try and become social again. I played games that required groups, learn to socialize with them online on skype etc. It wasn't about my looks, I know I am good looking, but I was socially awkward when talking to people. There are a lot of females on those games and many people in same situation. After that I was able to do OLD and it was a LOT easier to chat with others. I also made some great friends on the game too.
Wisecrack Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 You're 18, get off the sites and get out into the world mate. Turn over a new leaf. Start working out, building confidence and build yourself a career. Learn to relax and not get worried. You'll realise that once you start focussing on yourself, woman will come around. You have plenty time ahead of you.

You have plenty time ahead of you. I can't. I can't sadly. I find it the most difficult thing is to make friends. I may have gotten good GPA when my confidence was on fire and been such a good athlete but getting girls, is the hardest thing I've ever done.
