My guy friend sent me a poem. It is on my fb ( it's in Russian) but it is one that one of his friends described as "romantic" He's married and cannot speak English or understand it (but I study Russian so it works). I met him in December when he added me as a fb friend. He wrote the poem and put it on his own fb for his friends to see, but out of the 650 fb friends he has, I am the only one he pressed share and put it on my fb about 2 days ago. He had indicated in the past that he loved it when I read his poems but it was the first time he sent me one personally and said "to you a gift" He's an actor, and loved it when I watched his movie and shared it on my fb. I told my mom about it and that I was the only one he put the poem on a fb. Mom said "he must think of you as special" What's he saying indirectly to me? That he sees me as a special dear friend or more because of how his friend described the poem? He doesn't really start conversations with me, but comes on fb only briefly every day (an actor he's busy) but he nearly always responds when I write him, and nearly always sends me a smiling or laughing one of those great big smiles you can use on the fb chat. I told him I loved his gift and send me more poems because I enjoy his work. I've always liked and been supportive of his work and talents (but made it clear that most important to me is that he's a good friend a really nice person)

I never had anyone send me a poem before, it is new to me. Just wondered what it meant that he singled me out (that he put it on his fb for his friends to see, but that he put it directly to my wall and I was the only one he did that with out of his 650 fb friends)

I have never and would never in my life do sweet F all (because you know, he's married) I also never said anything but that I thanked him for the gift and that I loved his poem and I would like to read more.

I would like to hear thoughts. I had a mix up in the past where a Russian guy always told me I was beautiful and was, by our definition, flirty. I wondered if this guy is doing the same? (I'm a Canadian young woman who is, according to all my friends, very likeable so they've told me)

What's it mean if a guy sends a girl a poem? Because, you know, first time it's happened with me.
