lonesurvivorever Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Guys, I know I have a way too big ego and I'm hard to please sometimes. But this time I'm really wondering if I deserve to be mad. So you know the 40 years old super stingy professor I've been seeing. On our third date, this guy brought me to a pre screen movie stuff I guess he managed to get free admissions in advance. After seated, he didn't show any initiative to buy me any snacks or drink. After I asked, he went to get me a soda, not for himself though, regardless of how awkward it may look. The movie sucked bad ass, I asked to leave in the middle. He agreed. I even feel shameful myself for his stinginess then I decided to bring him to a bar and buy him a couple wines. The time I told him it was on me, he suddenly became very cheerful. We spent about two hours there, in the end, he was very happily watching me picking up the tab. When I joked with him about me paying, he said something like "oh, come on, I know you re not those girls". Then some real conversations started. He couldn't wait to tell me a date story of his that happened years ago. He said a wealthy female investment banker wanted to date him after meeting him at a restaurant. the first few dates they had, the girl never showed intention to pay anything even though she was way richer than he was. The fourth or fifth time, my professor didn't make any moves and the girl neither. Finally the girl agreed to pay in full out of embarrassment. And then the professor decided to never see her again. The end of story. But what really annoyed me was that when we were on the way back to the subway, the professor kept referring the girl as "gorgeous, gorgeous" while recounting the story. I didn't show any bad emotion then but after I got home I couldn't help getting mad. Well, I know I may be a little too self-aware. I've asked this professor what he thinks of me, he always complimented me as "smart and pretty". At most, attractive. But I've heard from all my previous dates things like "hot, sexy, gorgeous, and fabulous". Any of you girls would be as upset as me because of this？
