learning_slowly Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 E.g. Family and friends who have to put up with you. My temper has been short and I notice all the things that annoy me about them. I realise what I'm doing every so often and stop myself. I wish I wasn't behaving like this. At a time when these people are there for you, I have to stop myself creating arguments or telling people to leave me alone! Am I the only one? Is there a reason?
roger136913 Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 My Oldest Brother and Sister have been helping me, at least unload. One Sister is mad cause I did not spend Easter with them, also a friend. I have a shorter temper also, talking with people face to face is becoming a problem.
d0nnivain Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 You hurt the ones you love, partly because they are there. I don't think anyone is in a good mood or fun to be around in the immediate aftermath of a break-up. I also think most people can empathize with you & in the first few days are apt to forgive you for being out of sorts. If it goes on a while, it will get old & you will drive your support system away. At least recognize when you are doing it, work to stop it & apologize when you do it.
