She introduced me to her daughter within 3 weeks, and after 10 months we were engaged.

And you are posting multiple times per day on a dating forum talking about dating. F-in weird if you ask me. Perhaps its time to grow into the marriage and committment section of the board.

I think the point is that I have had a successful dating experience leading to marriage, and would like to share some insights. I'm 39 years old and I think some members here may value my input. What's so weird about that?

I disagree that it is creepy because you don't like him.

As hotpotato pointed out, he's expressing an inappropriate level of intimacy after one date. Even if I liked a man, I may tolerate this a bit more, but would still register that this level of intimacy is a bit much too soon. In my last relationship my ex fast forwarded our relationship too fast. I liked him but in the back of my mind was uncomfortable with how he sped things up so quickly and even declared his love after two weeks. Things didn't work out and as someone else also pointed out, I realize he, and others who tend to be in love super quickly, more than not are force-fitting you into their fantasy of a relationship instead of taking the time to know you.

Everyone wants someone who really likes them. My current boyfriend really liked me since day one and showed it by contacting me often, planning to see me often and eventually making things exclusive. It felt good and steady and not like a whirlwind, which again, while for some it works out, most times whirlwinds and quick "I love yous" and "You're the one" are not a match made in heaven but premature and crash and burn.
